Kindness on Christmas Day!!!

“The Last Quarter”
❤️ No One Eats Alone — 9 Years of Christmas Together ❤️

Last night, our little one casually said,
“Christmas is only 23 days away…”

And just like that, everything slowed down.

We found ourselves thinking about this year — the long days, the tired nights, the stress, the wins, and the moments that reminded us just how lucky we are. Grateful for our little family. Grateful for our team. Grateful for this community that continues to support us in ways we could never fully put into words.

This year has been especially big for Roshni. What began as a small, very busy Indian restaurant has grown into a 136-seat venue with a beautiful function room. In July, we also introduced breakfast and lunch, 7 days a week, sharing our blend of Australian and Indian flavours with you in new ways. It’s been challenging, exciting, stressful, and incredibly rewarding — and we’ve stayed true to who we are with your support.

But we also know this truth:
Not everyone is ending this year feeling okay.

Some are lonely.
Some are grieving.
Some are struggling quietly.
Some are just doing their best to get through each day.

Before we’d even posted anything, the messages started coming in…
“Are you doing the Christmas lunch again?”
“Where can we drop off gifts?”
“Can we help?”

That’s when it hit us — it was already that time again.

“This year marks 9 years of our No One Eats Alone Christmas Lunch.”
Nine years of one simple promise:
If you walk in, you will not be alone.

We’ve seen strangers become friends.
We’ve shared tears, stories, hugs, and hot meals.
And every single year, this day reminds us what Christmas is truly about.

🎄 This Christmas Day, there is a seat waiting for you.

This day isn’t just for those doing it tough —
it’s for everyone.

If you’re lonely — come.
If you’re hurting — come.
If life feels heavy — come.
If your heart is full and you just want to share the joy — come.

You don’t need to explain your story.
You don’t need to book.
Just walk through the door.

There will be food.
There will be people.
There will be kindness.
And there will be a seat for you.

Art on show….

☕🎨🖌 New exhibition starting tomorrow in the Lagoons Gallery

We are excited to present 'Gathered' by local artist, Megan Thompson.

This exhibition is a celebration of the colour and beauty associated with flowers and the natural environment. A variety of different flowers and foliage are presented through the artworks.

Bold colour, shape and texture are featured in the mixed media artworks. The artworks have been created using a variety of different mediums including pen and ink, pencil and acrylic paints.

Dried flowers and foliage have been used to create dried bouquet style artworks. Each artwork has the gathered themed by the artist and has been presented in different formats.

This exhibition is on display Wednesday, November 12 to Sunday, December 7, 2025, in the Lagoons Gallery within the Botanic Gardens Café. Viewing hours are Wednesday to Friday, 9am to 2pm and weekends, 8am to 3pm, closed Mondays and Tuesdays and public holidays.
