Perception refers to the way we see and interpret the world around us. Our beliefs, experiences, upbringing, and cultural influences shape our perceptions.
At a biological level, our bodies react to our thoughts and emotions. For instance, when we are stressed or fearful, our bodies release stress hormones like cortisol. When we are happy our bodies produce chemicals that promote health and well-being, such as endorphins.
By changing our perceptions, and consequently our thoughts and emotions, we can alter the chemical makeup of our bodies.
