Last week, One Stop Medical proudly hosted a fundraising lunch that brought together members of the Mackay community and the OSM team in support of a noble cause. The event was more than just a gathering—it was a heartfelt initiative to raise awareness about breast cancer, highlight the importance of early detection, and empower individuals with knowledge about the support available to those affected by the disease.

Through meaningful conversations and shared experiences, the lunch served as a reminder of the strength found in community and the value of education in navigating the breast cancer journey. One Stop Medical remains committed to fostering connection, compassion, and care within Mackay and beyond.

Meet Dr Tamanna Mananna

Dr Tamanna Mananna is a dedicated and compassionate GP who has proudly served the Mackay community for the past three years. She recently joined the team at One Stop Medical, bringing with her a strong commitment to patient care and a special interest in women’s health and family medicine.

Originally from Bangladesh, Dr Mananna completed her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) before advancing her expertise with a Master’s degree in International Public Health and Health Management from the University of New South Wales. Her academic journey reflects a deep passion for holistic healthcare and public health leadership.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr Mananna has contributed to medical education as a clinical tutor in both Bangladesh and Australia, nurturing the next generation of healthcare professionals.

Outside of medicine, Dr Mananna enjoys cooking, travelling, and watching movies. Her warm and approachable nature, combined with her diverse experience, makes her a valued member of the Mackay medical community.

Welcoming Dr Labiba Ahmad to Our New Location at 220 Victoria street from 27th October!!
We’re pleased to share that Dr Labiba Ahmad, who has been providing compassionate care at One Stop Medical at the Dome, will begin offering her GP services from our new branch at 220 Victoria Street, Mackay.
Dr Ahmad is known for her gentle and thoughtful approach to patient care, and she remains committed to supporting the health and wellbeing of the Mackay community. She is currently welcoming new patients and will continue to care for her existing patients at our new location.
We’re excited for this next chapter and look forward to seeing you soon.

Today is World Su***de Prevention Day.

It’s a day to honour the memories of those we’ve lost to su***de and to offer support to those facing difficult times and those living with the grief of losing someone.

The message of ‘Changing the Narrative on Su***de’ encourages us to change how we talk about su***de. To replace silence and stigma for empathy, compassion and action.

We all have a role to play in staying connected, showing up for those we care about and helping those struggling access the support they need.

Show the people around you that you’re there for them by asking 'are you OK?'. Because a conversation could change a life.

Dr Pasan is our recently added team member who graduated with his MBBS in 2016 and went on to work across several medical specialties. He has been working in the Emergency Department at Mackay Base Hospital, gaining extensive experience in acute and complex care. He also holds a Diploma in Geriatric Medicine. Dr Pasan has a special interest in caring for the elderly, wound management and skin cancer checks, chronic disease management, paediatrics, and men’s health. He is passionate about providing holistic, patient-centred care to the Mackay community, which he has grown to love for its warm climate and lifestyle. Outside of medicine, Dr Pasan enjoys spending quality time with his family and friends.
