Mynelink Support Services are looking for cleaning and personal support staff for NDIS participants in the Mackay region. If you are interested in entering the disability support field or are already involved please email your resume to Kathy Allen at admin@mynelink.com.au. This position will include some low risk support work such as taking participatnts shopping or to doctors. We have the most wonderful participants who are in need of supports to achieve their own goals and live in their own homes with dignity. Qualifications required:
1. Ability to be eligible for a Yellow card police check.
2. Eligible to work in Australia.
3. Drivers license and vehicle of your own.
4. Experienced, fit and hard working cleaner.
The position is casual paid at $32/hr
vehicle rate (.92c/klm) applies under certain conditions. This position could quickly become part time permanent for the right candidate.

Hi, I have had someone enquire about having a support worker take several NDIS participants on walks around the Mackay area. He was hoping others might be interested so he could share the cost of the support worker amongst several participants. I'm thinking this could be a good little group to start and walks even as far as Broken river could be lovely outings for anyone who's keen. Congratulations to Judy Cook, Judy has been awarded the 'Women who make us proud Award' from the Mackay Regional Councils Sarina Neighbourhood Centre. She is receiving her award tonight at the MECC. Hi all, we have had two morning teas here at the home of Mynelink Support Services. From the input I have had there is a very great desire for backyard food gardens, including keeping chickens. As we know all-abilities gardens are expensive, especially if one is buying all the materials at full price. I am starting a not-for-profit fund that will be able to fundraise and take donations to cover the costs of the gardens for people with disabilities in Mackay and the surrounding areas. I am asking people who are interested in having a backyard garden and meet our requirements, to come to our morning teas on Thursdays, there we can establish the demand, fundraising plans and get our first garden underway as soon as possible. Don't worry if you are renting there are many ways to build garden boxes that can be pulled apart and relocated.
