Just like your skin, your eyes can also be damaged by the sun’s UV rays. Prolonged exposure can increase the risk of eye conditions such as cataracts, macular degeneration, and corneal damage over time.
Whether it’s sunny or overcast, UV protection is essential year-round. Wearing quality sunglasses helps to keep your eyes healthy by shielding them from harmful rays, reducing glare, and keeping your vision clear and comfortable.
👁️ Tip: Sunglasses that block 100% of UVA and UVB rays offer the greatest protection for your eyes.
If you wear glasses, prescription sunglasses are a great way to stay protected without compromising on clarity. 👓
We offer a wide range of stylish, comfortable, and high-quality sunglasses - both prescription and non-prescription - to help you see clearly and stay protected outdoors.

Are your eyes itchy, watery, and red? With spring in full swing, you may be experiencing eye allergies - also known as allergic conjunctivitis. This happens when your eyes react to allergens such as pollen, dust, pet dander, or mold. 🌸🐾
What causes eye allergies?
When allergens enter the eye, the immune system overreacts by releasing histamine, leading to inflammation and irritation.
Common symptoms include:
Itchy, red, or burning eyes
Watery or teary eyes
Puffy eyelids
Photophobia (sensitivity to light)
Symptom relief tips:
Avoid rubbing your eyes (it can exacerbate symptoms)
Use lubricating/artificial tears to flush out allergens
Apply a cool compress
Consider antihistamines or prescription eye drops (in consultation with your optometrist)
Keep windows closed on high pollen days
Wear sunglasses or glasses to create a physical barrier between the environment and your eyes, limiting the amount of allergens your eyes are exposed to.
📆 While eye allergies are very common, if symptoms are persistent or more severe, it’s important to book an eye examination to rule out other potential causes.

👁️💡EYE EDUCATION💡👁️
Glaucoma
Glaucoma is an eye disease that damages the optic nerve - the part of the eye that carries visual information to the brain. Over time, this damage can lead to vision loss and even blindness if untreated.
What causes Glaucoma?
In many cases, glaucoma is linked to high pressure inside the eye (intraocular pressure). This happens when fluid in the eye doesn’t drain properly, creating a buildup that gradually damages the optic nerve.
However, glaucoma can also occur with normal eye pressure, depending on individual risk factors.
Risk factors for Glaucoma:
- Adults over 40 (risk increases with age)
- People with a family history of glaucoma
- Those with diabetes, high blood pressure, or other health issues
- Individuals with thin corneas or high eye pressure
Treatment and Management 🩺👀:
While there is no cure for glaucoma, early detection and management can successfully slow the condition’s progression and prevent further vision loss.
Treatment may include:
- Prescription eye drops to lower pressure
- Laser therapy
- Surgery (for advanced cases)
Early detection of glaucoma is key for preserving vision, make regular eye examinations essential for protecting long-term vision!
Protect your eyes from workplace injury and hazards with safety glasses.👷🛠️🩺
Safety glasses are an essential part of personal protective equipment (PPE) across a wide range of industries - from construction and manufacturing to laboratories and healthcare. They’re designed to shield the eyes from workplace hazards such as debris, dust, chemicals and sharp objects.
Benefits of safety glasses include:
- Protection against eye injuries, high velocity impact and long-term damage.
- Clear vision with anti-fog and scratch-resistant coatings.
- Comfortable, secure fit for all-day wear.
- Compliance with safety standards and workplace regulations.
- Available in both prescription and non-prescription options.
For those who wear corrective lenses, prescription safety glasses offer the best of both worlds. They provide the certified protection required for hazardous work environments while delivering the clear, accurate vision of your everyday prescription.
Never compromise on safety or sight with prescription safety glasses!
