Finally something for the 79 crew!!
We had the pleasure of installing the Performance Suspension 70 series single cab front crossmember notch kit and transfer case guard kit into this very clean LandCruiser last week.
This kit is a solution that allows lifts up to 6” and consists of a pre fabbed weld in piece to notch the crossmember and also includes an integrated bash guard to suit.
This allows complete protection of the modified crossmember rear to the transfer case, removing all catch points in the centre of the car, while looking very close to factory.
This modification was QLD engineered to ensure the vehicle remains legal.

Remember the massive build on the new model Canam we undertook last year?
Well things went a little pear shaped at the Don River Dash in September, with the buggy doing what we can only describe as one of those things you just never want to see on a track.
She flipped and rolled with brutal force, while we all held our breath….but after the dust had settled, the driver and navi were thankfully able to walk away.

We inspected the buggy upon its return to the pits and although it had sustained a lot of damage, our extra chassis bracing and safety cage held up very well and did exactly as it was designed to do, keep the occupants safe.
It did however sustain a few slightly bent bars in the roof which needed to be replaced along with a new roof panel and spare wheel mount.

Also on the list was a water sprayer tank that can also have ice loaded into it, to help keep the cooling system temps at bay.

Onwards and upwards for this team as they get ready for another season of racing.

A nice change from our usual 4wd work. We had this immaculate 1971 HQ in for a larger fuel tank and new fuel lines, as this beast very quickly sucked the original tank bone dry quicker than us with a box of beer on a Friday afternoon.

We delivered a custom 100lt aluminium tank with internal baffles and pickup box to help with hard launches off the start line. The previous filler was restored and powdercoated in gloss black along with the tank and straps. Finishing off with aeroflowperformance fittings, braided fuel lines from Proximity Motorsport, coupled with custom machining by BoTech Enterprise.

Was an absolute pleasure having a bit of old school muscle in the shop for something different.

Righto, kids are back at school and all staff are back at work.
Like normal, we’ve opened the year with the cool jobs. Another offroad buggy in, a mint HQ ute and a 79 series 300mm chassis extension.

The 79 has been and gone, and the boys are busy bouncing between the street car and the CanAm.

Kit orders resumed earlier this month and those first orders will be packaged and sent off to freight this week.

Loads of messages/emails to sort through today so please be patient. Remember, sending multiple messages or bumping your message with a ‘?’ only puts you at the bottom to be answered as we work from oldest received to recent.

As Santa was loading his sleigh, we were tightening the last bolts on this cracker of a GQ.
Featuring the ever popular extra cab conversion, customised Bartley style tray, one piece sliders and brush bars, all finished off with a PSR long arm kit.

While this one heads back to Rocky to have the rebuilt RMS Performance Engineering TD (with all the fruit) installed, and paint work completed, we are catching up on some much needed rest and family time.

From our family to yours, we wish you all a Merry Christmas and safe and joyful new year.

As 2025 rapidly comes to an end, this Patrol is 1 of 3 of the last jobs we’ll send out the door in the next 7 days.

This vehicle features our dual cab rear wall kit with a radius edge, our tray mounts, coil braces and SKEA tray.
The tray has been fitted with our exclusive tool box draws, rear draw and 2x 35” spare wheel mounts.
Conversion QLD engineered.

I really do love this set up. It’s practical, hard wearing and doesn’t have all the unnecessary fluff of some builds we see.
Absolutely perfect for where this one is heading home to….Weipa.
But first she’ll have a quick stop further north from us to have exterior paint completed.

LAST CALL FOR WALL KIT ORDERS

With just 6 weeks left until we take our annual break, now is the time to get your orders in if you are looking to have your vehicle ready for the Christmas holidays or if you are looking to have the vehicle completed over the Christmas period.

🚚 Land Cruiser 80/100/105 Series:

We also have tray mounts, tray/tank mounts (cruisers only), rear windows, and Patrol 4 link upper bracket kits available for order to compliment the above wall kits.

Lastly, don’t forget our chassis extension kits for both the Patrols and Land Cruisers. These come in 300, 450 and 600mm lengths along with QLD design approval cert and Engineers summary letter.

Well it has certainly been a hot minute since our last dual cab Patrol conversion. In fact, 2 years!!!
The Cruiser conversions well and truely took over the shop for quite a while.
Another couple weeks and this series 4 will have the cab side of things completed and one of our custom designed trays built and fitted up.

We are getting to the pointy end of the year with one more GQ extra cab + ‘Bartley’ tray conversion to finish up this year before we really dig our nails into our own builds over the break.

Huge shout out to Typan Racing who are participating in the finale of the Cliffhanger 4wd Event

This truck has been in and out of the workshop for years with little upgrades here and there. Typan was the prototype for our very first wall kit many moons ago, and we can’t thank Tyson and team enough for allowing us their truck to develop an industry leading product, as well as our first safety cage that met all governing body regulations for offroad racing. Back then, not many could make that claim to fame.
Typan holds a very special place at CAM Fab, so rightfully features on our merch shirts and advertising (which i really need to order more of).
Just like its name sake, Typan is big, elusive, angry and packs a mighty punch!
