Our team consists of 14 experienced physiotherapists who are highly skilled in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of pain and injuries. A large majority of our patients are referred by orthopaedic surgeons, occupational physicians and local GPs. Our physiotherapists provide individually customised treatment and rehabilitation plans to relieve your pain and maximize your return to health. We offer you personal professional hands-on services, ensuring you notice a positive change with each visit. Some conditions and treatment methods we use include:

Today we’re proud to celebrate Steve’s 6-year anniversary with the Active Physio team and what an incredible journey it’s been! 👏
We’re also thrilled to congratulate Steve on achieving the prestigious title of APA Titled Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist 🏅 a huge milestone that reflects his dedication, expertise, and commitment to delivering the highest standard of care.

Steve has a special interest in the non-operative management of spinal, shoulder and knee conditions, including non-operative ACL rehabilitation. He also brings extensive experience in treating headache and TMJ disorders, foot and ankle conditions, and post-surgical rehabilitation for knees, shoulders, and hips.
On top of that, Steve loves working with athletes of all levels, helping them recover, perform, and get back to doing what they love 💪🏃‍♂️

Please Welcome our new Receptionist Mel 👋

Hi my name is Melanie but most people in the clinic know me as Mel. I started with Active Physio late last year as a receptionist on the front desk. I am a Mackay local and returned to Mackay last year after living in Weipa for 8 years. I have 3 adult children that live throughout Qld and the NT. During our downtime my husband and I like to go camping, fishing and enjoying the outdoors. I am also a qualified Personal Trainer for over 10 years, so when I not at Active, you will find my instructing group fitness classes at my home gym keeping the Mackay community fit and healthy, or attending to our cattle on our acreage just outside of Mackay.
