🎉 Celebrating 18 Years of Active Physio! 🎉

What an incredible journey it has been. Over the past 18 years, so much has changed — and we’re feeling extra grateful as we look back on where we started and how far we’ve come.
✅ From paper notes to AI powered documentation
✅ From our humble beginnings on Sydney Street
✅ To our beautiful clinic at 3/43 Gregory Street
When we opened our doors, it was just 2 physios with a big dream. Today, we’re proudly a team of:
💙 15 Physiotherapists
💙 1 Sports & Exercise Scientist/Therapy Assistant
💙 12 Administration Superstars

Together, we’ve grown, adapted, supported thousands of amazing clients, and built something truly special. This milestone isn’t just ours — it’s shared with every patient, staff member, and supporter who has been part of the Active Physio story.

Here’s to 18 years of helping our community move better, feel better, and live better… and to many more years ahead! 🎉💪💙

Have you heard of the Norwegian 4 x 4?

Have you heard of the Norwegian 4 x 4?

A patient walked into a cardiac rehab center in Norway, scared to take a flight of stairs.

Twelve weeks later he was exercising harder than people half his age.

What happened between was not a drug. Not a surgery. Not a medical procedure.

It was a stopwatch and a pattern that looks almost too simple: a solid warm-up, four minutes hard, three minutes easy, repeated four times. That protocol became known as the Norwegian 4x4 and it has quietly rewritten how we understand cardiac recovery and metabolic healing.

Four minutes is the sweet spot. Long enough to let your heart reach full output. Short enough to repeat it multiple times. That is where the cardiac adaptation happens.

As a physician, one of the most common things I hear is: I do not have time to exercise. The Norwegian 4x4 takes under 40 minutes total, from the first warm-up step to the final cool-down. It outperforms longer moderate-intensity exercise in multiple cardiovascular outcomes.

You do not need a gym. You need a stopwatch, ten minutes to warm up your engine, and something to make you uncomfortable for four minutes at a time.

Our amazing Admin Ladies took on a serious engineering challenge today… armed with nothing but spaghetti and tape! 🍝🛠️
So much laughter, teamwork, and a healthy dose of competition, some more serious then others.

But the big question is… 👀

Can tell who the winners are?😄

🎉 Employee of the Month Spotlight! 🎉

Please join us in celebrating our two amazing Employees of the Month, Tayla and Edwin!
Both of these team members continually go above and beyond, demonstrate incredible dedication, and bring positivity to our workplace every day. We are so proud to recognise them this achievement is truly well deserved!
As part of their award, each has chosen a charity close to their heart:
💛 Edwin has chosen to support the Australian Red Cross, a charity that provides vital humanitarian services across Australia and beyond.
💛 Tayla has chosen Qendo, Endometriosis Association QLD, an organisation supporting those affected by endometriosis, adenomyosis, PCOS, and infertility.
We’re so grateful for the meaningful causes they’ve chosen to give back to.

Congratulations once again, Tayla and Edwin! 🌟👏
