Happy Friday eve 😍
Just an insight on the questions and thoughts that have been coming to the surface for me over the last few days.
✨️ How do we keep track what we are doing is effective if we aren't aware of our truth or conscious of our patterns and behaviours.
✨️ When I'm out at site on shift juggling 12.5hr days, travel to and from site, time to eat, wind down time, hold myself to my commitments of gym, journalling, stretching etc. I've found myself becoming overwhelmed. How can I be conscious of what I'm doing, what I'm consuming, let alone making sure I still do the things that give back to ME. When I'm in a state of overwhelm.
✨️ I plan and prepare.
I have a weekly planner that allows me to right down what I'm doing and when I'm doing it. I plan the outline of what I'm going to eat, as this allows me to ensure I'm fuelling my body with what it needs and not just consuming the easiest option.
✨️ I'm far from perfect and have days that I don't tick all the boxes. Yesterday was a prime example, I was meant to be up at 2.45am to go train. It was raining, early and to be quiet frank I didn't want to get out of bed. So I didn't. Once I finished my shift and got back to my room, I reflected on my weekly planner and ticked off what I did achieve and make the conscious decision that I was going to go train this morning instead.
✨️ Being able to reflect on your plan, allows you to measure your effectiveness. How? It makes you aware and conscious of where the gaps are, it shows your behaviours and patterns. While giving you a place to start, where to hold yourself more accountable or to identify if maybe you have to much on your plate and expecting to much.
✨️ We don't have to do all the things every day to grow. We need consistency and longevity. What works for you and your lifestyle.
How do you measure your effectiveness? 🤔
