This is one I've heard/been asked numerous times, can you get stuck in hypnosis? The short answer... No unfortunately not, I wouldn't mind being stuck in those wonderful feelings 😂 I have had clients tell me that they have had friends get "stuck" in hypnosis that needed their friend/mother/partner to bring them out, what's usually occuring here is that the person is enjoying the hypnotic trance so much so that their subconscious mind is being stubborn and doesn't want to leave it just yet (and why would it?). I have been a hypnotherapist for 11 years and I have never had a client get "stuck" and never had to call someone else in to assist with bringing someone out of their trance. I use a gentle technique to bring people out of their trance, some people instantly come out bright eyed and bushy tailed, some people need a few minutes longer to enjoy the moment and perhaps continue some change work themselves and then there are the few people that just have a really stubborn subconscious mind that is quite comfortable where it is and needs to be told firmly it's time to leave the trance and they come back to the room. However, in saying that, if someone was in a really deep trance and I decided to leave them there exactly as they were they definitely wouldn't be stuck like that forever, perhaps the better part of the day but certainly not forever. They would return to the room, the subconscious mind is there to protect you and it can't do that holding you hostage in a chair for the rest of your life.
