Meet the Recycled Monster Master! 🎨 👹
This Friday 7th November 10am to 1pm!
We couldn’t be prouder of participant, Darren Horsfield, who proves that one person’s trash is another’s terrifyingly terrific art!
During his weekly art classes with Shonah, Darren has channelled his passion for a cleaner environment into an installation of over 100 unique monster sculptures, all created from plastic litter found across the Hunter region.
These imaginative creatures form the incredible “Recycled Monster Art” exhibition, currently running at Maitland Regional Art Gallery (MRAG). It’s an inspiring look at how creativity can tackle a huge issue, considering only about 13% of the 3.5 million tonnes of plastic Australia consumes each year is actually recycled.
