I’ve finally finished building something I’ve wanted to offer my wonderful clients for a long time. It's a simple, flexible membership program to make your regular dreadlock care easier and more rewarding.

There are three tiers to choose from:

The Initiate – A gentle step into consistent, stress-free maintenance with a few thoughtful perks.
The Devotee – For those who like their upkeep a little more frequent, with added treats and yearly bonuses.
The Ascendant – The most comprehensive tier, designed for clients who prefer monthly care and premium inclusions.

Every membership runs through a monthly subscription. This means your included services and perks simply activate as you go. It keeps your routine organised, predictable, and stress-free. If you like knowing your maintenance is already taken care of, this is the membership for you (and way more fun than the gym!)

It would be suitable for another Loctician, a hairdresser, a barber, lash tech, or anything along those lines. She just needs a tiny bit of TLC and she'll be good as new!

Choosing to get rounded ends gives your dreads a whole different energy compared to the classic loose tips or luxe ends.

The rounded ends might look perfect straight away, but like all fresh dreads, they’ll take a little time to settle in. It's totally normal to have the ends pop out stray hairs. They might even feel like they aren't holding but I promise with each maintenance, they'll get further and further into place. Sometimes you just gotta tell the hair who's boss. 💪🏻

Sometimes the best decisions are the spur of the moment ones.
This client decided on a whim that she wanted a little peek-a-boo dreadlock. And thankfully, I had some time to spare so she walked out with the cutest little single dread with a soft human-hair extension for that extra bit of length and vibe. Cause this colour is phenomenal!

Single dreads are such an underrated way to switch things up. They are no big commitment, just a fun little addition that instantly feels like it was meant to be there.

After the insane install for this lovely lady, I couldn’t resist giving her a quick little braid to top it all off. After all, she sat so darn well for such a huge job. I'm always so proud when my clients tolerate me for two long days. 😂

We didn't do anything too intense (as I'm sure she wanted nothing more than to go home), but it's just a small touch to make her feel a bit extra before she walked out the door.

Remember that big two-day transformation I shared the other day? Well, we rolled into her very first maintenance session a few days ago, and honestly… this is the part I love just as much as the install. It’s so nice watching the set officially “click” into place.

New dreadlocks have a slightly chaotic energy at first but they eventually settle into their own. With a little time and regular maintenance sessions, this set will mature nicely - I can’t wait to see it.

That's another two-day transformation done and dusted! These huge projects are always such a treat to be a part of so I thought I might share a bit of how big changes like this come to fruition.

Before my client even walks through the door, I’ve already spent hours prepping — colour-matching, blending, and crafting the extensions so they’re ready to go on the day. By having everything premade it means we can save you time on your installation. A full head of dreadlock extensions can take a full day along to make and that's not including the installation.

Day one (the big exciting day for you guys!) is all about getting the base right. We go through the hair section by section, shaping the natural dreads so they sit comfortably and form the structure the full set needs. It can feel like a long day, especially for those with LONG hair, but by the end of the first day you can definitely see it coming along.

Day two is where the transformation really really starts to happen. The extensions get added in and the whole look begins to settle into the vibe my client was aiming for. This day is usually a bit quicker than the first so you don't have to wait too much longer for the final look!

Then it all comes together in the final moment — the first look in the mirror, that smile, that little “oh my god” — makes the long hours feel completely worth it.
