🐾 Read & Create Playgroup – Wednesdays 9.30–11am
This week our little makers stepped into the world of Animalia! After sharing Graeme Base’s classic, children explored animal-inspired art and sensory play — from painted giraffes and colourful lion manes to trays filled with textures, creatures and imaginative small-world setups.

Our Read & Create sessions blend storytime, art, and hands-on discovery, giving children space to create, experiment and connect with others in a calm, creative environment.

We’re returning this playgroup in 2026 and in term one our focus will be Julia Donaldson books! Suits 2-5yr olds.

These vibrant sunset skies, silhouettes and creative brushstrokes are all works by our talented young artists — we’re so proud of what they’ve achieved this term! 🌅✨

If your child loves drawing, painting or exploring new techniques, our Youth Art Classes are the perfect place to grow their skills and confidence.

🌿 The grounds at Leaves and Fishes are pure magic — peaceful water lilies, shady palms and pockets of colour that shift with the seasons. Tucked within this stunning landscape is our Secret Garden, the heart of Nature & Nurture’s outdoor programs.

Here, children paint, play and wander among the trees at our Outdoor Art Playgroups and Nature School for homeschoolers, held every Tuesday and Friday during school terms. We also host Saturday craft sessions and beautiful birthday parties surrounded by nature.

It’s a place to create, explore and slow down — where learning unfolds under open skies.

Our 90-minute art and sensory playgroups continue across Maitland and Lovedale. If you need to arrange a make-up session, please call 0403 390 227 (rather than message) as we may be teaching so socials may go unmonitored.

Homeschoolers are welcome to join a 9am–12pm outdoor session and experience our hands-on nature program.
