As we wrap up another meaningful year, we want to take a moment to pause, reflect, and celebrate the incredible community that makes iCoordinate what it is. This year has been one of growth, connection, and collaboration, a year where participants, families, and our dedicated team have worked together to create pathways that empower choice, independence, and wellbeing.

From welcoming new team members and strengthening our partnerships, to supporting participants in achieving their goals and navigating the NDIS with confidence, every step forward has been shaped by the people we serve and our shared commitment to person-centred, compassionate support.

Thank you for being part of this journey with us. Whether you’ve connected with us as a participant, a family member, a provider, or a supporter from afar, your trust and collaboration have helped us build a service where people feel heard, supported, and valued.

Sensory-Friendly Christmas Craft: DIY Calming Glitter Snow Globe

Looking for a gentle, creative Christmas activity that’s sensory-friendly and budget-friendly? Try making your own Calming Glitter Snow Globe, a soothing craft that doubles as a beautiful festive decoration.

What you need:
• A clear jar or plastic bottle
• Glitter glue or fine glitter
• Warm water
• A small Christmas figurine (optional)

How to make it:
Add warm water to the jar.
Mix in a squeeze of glitter glue or a teaspoon of glitter.
Place your figurine inside (or leave it as a calming swirl).
Seal the lid tightly and shake to enjoy the slow, sparkly movement.

It’s a great sensory activity for people of all ages, offering a calming moment during the busy Christmas season.

Please note that the iCoordinate office will be closed tomorrow, Friday 19 December for our Staff Christmas Appreciation Day as we take a moment to thank our incredible team for their hard work throughout the year.

Budget-Friendly Gingerbread Cookie Christmas Tree

Ingredients:
125g butter, ½ cup brown sugar, ⅓ cup golden syrup, 1 egg
2 ½ cups plain flour, 1 tsp bicarb, 1 ½ tsp ginger, 1 tsp cinnamon
Icing sugar + a few drops water
Green/red M&Ms
Star cookie cutters

Method:
Melt butter, sugar & syrup. Cool slightly, mix in egg.
Combine dry ingredients, add wet mix to form dough. Chill 20 mins.
Roll out, cut star shapes, bake at 170°C for 10–12 mins.
Stack cookies from largest to smallest using icing.
Add M&Ms + dust with icing sugar.

Budget tip:
Use Aldi/Coles home-brand lollies, and make mini trees as low-cost edible gifts.
