The Horse Rider's Physio

The Horse Rider's Physio Helping riders from all disciplines One of my ways of assessing is to use state of the art motion analysis and capture software and a mock horse.

As a physiotherapist and qualified EFA coach I have noticed that there are many bio mechanical problems that horse riders have that inter-fear with their ability to improve as a rider. My passion is to use my many years of training and education in many disciplines of horse riding and in physiotherapy in a combined way to assist the horse rider to improve, relieve discomfort and get better results in the competition arena. This is a popular technique along with my specialist clinics, where I assess the rider on their own horse in a fun and social environment.

This old photo is a great example of how the body compensates when our centre of gravity is changed. Check out his left leg . It is out there because his shoulders are to the right. It’s like a see-saw.

I recently assisted an older female rider sit square in the saddle.
The problem was a weakness in her upper back and thoracic region.
I couldn’t have worked this out with seeing both on and off the horse.

If this is something you might be interested in send a message through.

You can't say we didn't try......😥
With close to 300ml of rain fallen on the Rutherford grounds in the last week, there is no possibility our Hunter Region Championships can go ahead.
We've tried in March, then May and now July so the decision has now been made to cancel.
Refunds will be processed over the next week - please be patient as we work through the high numbers. ALL our classes are full in both Ring 1 and 2. This is a fantastic result.
We now look forward to our Spring Championships scheduled for 5/6 November as well as some club days over the coming months.
Thank you to the Committee's work over our three attempts.
