Regina, a single mum of three children under 10, asked ATL for help, when no-one else could. Life had become unbearable, until she reached out for support.

ATL funded equine-assisted therapy sessions that gave her the support she needed.

You can help us to assist more like Regina by making a donation. Thank you.

For all those horse lovers out there!
NB: this post does not imply that the smell of a horse would replace aromatherapy.

๐ŸŒŸ Autistic joy is powerful. Autistic passion is beautiful. ๐ŸŒŸ

When Autistic people are supported to share what they love, something amazing happens: connection.

Friendship doesnโ€™t have to look "typical" to be real. Sometimes it's two people infodumping about their favorite topics. Sometimes itโ€™s just sitting side by side, enjoying a shared interest in comfortable silence.

Letโ€™s celebrate the friendships that grow through shared passions, deep dives, and mutual respect. ๐Ÿ’™

Autistic interests are a bridge to belonging. Let them shine. โœจ

[ID: On a grape background, with the Reframing Autism logo in the upper left corner and the colourful knotwork in the lower right, white text reads, 'Autistic people are by nature generous with our knowledge and expertise. Sharing our passions is our instinctive way of forging organic, genuine friendships'. Beneath the text is an image of two young friends, running through a field joyfully].

Make a difference, talk up, say your bit. Every voice matters.

Weโ€™ve joined forces in a joint submission. and the Melbourne University Neurodiversity Project have made a submission to the House Standing Committee on Health, Aged Care and Disability Inquiry into the Thriving Kids Initiative.

Together, we represent well over 100,000 autistic people, families, carers and allies. We will share our submission once itโ€™s published, but know we have strongly advocated for Thriving Kids to align with the National Autism Strategy, be co-designed with autistic-led organisations, and protect the rights and wellbeing of autistic children and their families. Stay tunedโ€ฆ
