Part Time/Full Time
Hourly rate negotiable based on experience.

Based in the lovely town of Maleny, this position is permanent part time with potential for full time (minimum 3 days per week part time).
We are looking for a positive, friendly person with a proactive approach. If you have excellent communication skills and attention to detail, you will add value to our team. As a team we are focused on high-quality patient centered primary healthcare.
You will have a thorough knowledge of reception/customer service, including:
Essential
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to prioritise, organize, and multitask with good time management.
• Computer skills
• Ability to comply with privacy and confidentiality standards.
• Reliable and flexible.
• Exceptional customer service skills with a patient care focus
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and show compassion.
• Quick to learn and able to use your initiative.

Advantage
• Understanding of MBS, DVA and private practice billings.
• Best Practice software (Experience helpful but not required)
• Recent experience as medical receptionist
• Current CPR Certificate
• Covid-19 Vaccination (Can be arranged prior to start)

Fig Tree Medical Maleny requires an experienced Medical Receptionist.

The successful applicant must have previous medical reception experience and:

Be well presented, well spoken, and a mature minded person
Be able to interact with patients and doctors easily in a friendly and confident manner
Punctuality and reliability
Have a strong focus on attention to detail
Have excellent computer skills and experience in Best Practice
Be familiar with Medicare items and billing processes
The ability to multi task and work calmly
The ability to exercise complete discretion and maintain confidentiality
