Hi, it’s been a while since I introduced myself and as it’s Dietitian's week it’s the perfect time
I’m Nicole, a fertility and prenatal dietitian and founder of Best Food Forward. I’ve been practicing as a dietitian for about 20 years and I founded Best Food Forward 14 years ago.
I love coming into the clinic each day so I can support my clients achieve their dream of having a healthy baby. I remember the first client I saw for fertility many years ago. “Sarah” had been trying to conceive for 2 years and was so confused and overwhelmed trying to work out what to eat to give her the best chance of falling pregnant. She was taking heaps of supplements and was getting all kinds of mixed messages around food for fertility. I didn’t know then what I know now but I made it my professional goal to research this area so I can help as many women as possible so they don’t have to feel like Sarah
There’s so much more information about fertility diets just at our finger tips today, which means people trying to conceive are often getting even more confused. Have you found yourself googling “diet for fertility”, falling into that rabbit hole, only to come out hours later more confused?
I offer evidenced based, practical dietary advice and support to help you cut through the noise and get the clarity you’re looking for to know you’re doing everything you can to have a healthy baby.

Endo warriors are often told what food to avoid so let's focus on 5 fabulous foods to include in your endo friendly diet 🤤
✅Fish-fish like salmon, sardines and herring are rich in DHA and EPA omega-3 fatty acids which can help reduce inflammatory prostaglandins and reduce endometriosis-related pain
✅Extra virgin olive oil or EVOO - contains healthy fats for endo and is high in vitamin E and other antioxidants which help reduce inflammation caused by oxidative stress in endo.
✅Nuts and seeds - also full of healthy fats, fibre and antioxidants like vitamin E
✅Berries - eating a variety of delicious berries containing fibre, vitamin C, vitamin E and other antioxidants helps lower inflammation and reduce endo pain
✅Broccoli - I'm sure you don't need to be reminded veggies are good for you and broccoli is one of my favourites for endo. It contains indole-3-carbinol and fibre both help remove excess oestrogen often associated with endometriosis. Broccoli also contains magnesium which can help relieve cramping period pain. It's another food which is high in antioxidants to help reduce inflammation associated with endo.
🙂This is general advice only. It's important to find your unique dietary requirements to help reduce your bloating, pain, diarrhoea and constipation as they are different for everyone.
If you want to know more about diet for you and your endo reachout🤳 Let's work together
