One in six Australians suffers from low back pain.
Heavy, awkward & repetitive manual tasks undertaken by tradies puts them at an even greater risk of back problems.
Don’t risk injury or acute back pain developing into a chronic condition.

Physiotherapists assess and treat using a range of interventions
including tailored graded exercise programs, and offer guidance on
injury management, return to work and prevention strategies.

Give David or Marshall, at Halls Head Physiotherapy, a call - they can help with exercise programs & offers guidance on injury management.

Seventy-five per cent of Australian adults do not meet the recommended physical activity guidelines, putting them at risk for chronic conditions.

Research suggests that work-related physical activity alone does not provide the same health benefits as leisure time physical activity and is not a substitute for regular exercise.

Physiotherapists can assess your abilities, and provide practical ideas and a tailored program to help you achieve your physical goals for work and life.

David & Marshall at Halls Head Physio can help you!

2. Early intervention: Addressing pain early helps prevent chronic issues and long-term complications.

3. Enhance quality of life: By managing pain effectively, physiotherapy enables tradies to maintain their productivity and enjoy their daily activities.

4. Adapt with age: Physiotherapists help tradies adjust their work habits as their bodies age, reducing the risk of injury and prolonging their careers

Tradies' health challenges
A recent survey of tradies from across the country has revealed the following challenges faced by them in the past year:

• Over 90% of tradies experienced work-related injuries or pain in the past year, with 90% of these injuries caused or worsened by work.

• 76% reported pain significantly impacts their quality of life.

• 42% described their pain as severe, with some suffering for months or even years.

• 87% medicate or self-medicate to manage their pain, with 30% resorting to drugs or alcohol.

• 24% fear they will need to retire early due to stress on their bodies.
Nearly two-thirds of tradies who have seen a physiotherapist reported significant pain reduction or eradication.
