Brody has officially done it… THE TRAILER IS ORDERED!

After months and months of hard work, dedication, and reinvesting every single dollar back into his micro-enterprise, Brody has just paid for and ordered his very own trailer from South West Trailers

What started as a simple idea has quickly grown into something so much bigger. Watching Brody stay focused, put in the effort, and back himself every step of the way has been nothing short of incredible.

This trailer isn’t just a purchase… it’s a massive step forward for his micro-enterprise, opening the door to bigger collections / events, more opportunities, and continued growth.

We couldn’t be prouder of what he’s achieved so far — and trust us, he’s only just getting started.

Let’s get around him and celebrate this huge milestone!

Massive News Incoming !!!!!

Brody is just $200 away from reaching his major goal of getting a trailer built by South West Trailers for Recycling with Brody!

Brody has worked incredibly hard, saving every dollar he’s earned and reinvesting it back into his microenterprise — purchasing bins and growing his service step by step. Each week, he gets closer, and it’s been amazing to watch his dedication pay off.

Last week brought a small setback with the Brody Mobile breaking down, but nothing keeps Brody down for long! With repairs underway and the help of an incredible community member, Brody is back on the road today using a loaned ute to continue his collections. Thank you Mr Spong.

This journey is all about resilience, community, and determination — and Brody is so close now. Let’s help him get over that final $200 mark!

Community Appreciation — Thank You Down to Earth Training & Assessing RTO 51199

We’d like to give a big shout out and thank you to the amazing team at Down to Earth Training & Assessing (Rockingham) for their support of Recycling with Brody.

Down to Earth do fantastic work delivering practical, hands-on training across a wide range of industry courses — helping people build skills, confidence, and pathways into employment. Their commitment to real-world learning and community engagement makes a genuine difference for so many individuals.

We’re incredibly grateful that they have welcomed Brody onsite by allowing one of his 240L Containers for Change collection bins to be housed in their crib room. This support not only provides a convenient recycling option for staff and participants, but also contributes directly to Brody’s micro-enterprise journey.

Brody attends weekly to:
✅ Empty the bin
✅ Replace the lining
✅ Clean and sanitise it

Ensuring the service remains reliable, clean & tidy, and beneficial for everyone involved.

Partnerships like this are what community inclusion is all about — businesses and organisations coming together to create meaningful opportunities.

Celebrating 1 Year of Recycling with Brody!

Today marks one full year since Brody began his micro-enterprise journey with Recycling with Brody, and what an incredible 12 months it has been.

Over this past year we’ve watched Brody grow in confidence, independence, and capability while making a genuine impact in his community and for the environment. What started as a small idea has developed into something truly meaningful — and that’s thanks not only to Brody’s hard work, but also to the amazing support from the people around him.

In just one year Brody has:
✅ Supported recycling at local events and markets
✅ Established collection partnerships across the community
✅ Launched his very own Containers for Change advert
✅ Expanded his reach and service offering
✅ Built connections with some incredibly supportive organisations and individuals.

The response from the community has been nothing short of amazing — welcoming, encouraging, and always willing to get behind what Brody is building. That support has been instrumental in helping this initiative thrive.

And this is just the beginning…
Brody is now so close to reaching his trailer goal, which will open the door to even bigger collections and opportunities. We’re incredibly excited for what’s ahead as we move into year two.

From day one, you have been with Brody every step of the way, going above and beyond to help him get Recycling with Brody up and running. Your support, encouragement and belief in him have meant more than words can express.

With your smiling faces, warm personalities and genuine kindness, you have made every visit something Brody truly looks forward to. He absolutely loves coming through each week and being “part of the team” — and that sense of belonging has played such an important role in building his confidence, independence and pride.

The entire team at Mandurah Recycling has been instrumental in Brody’s growth, helping him gain confidence, and feel valued and included in the recycling industry.

From the food truck nights to the markets you run every weekend, you always create such welcoming community spaces.
We’re really looking forward to being a part of the Labour Day fun day market and food truck event at Madora Bay — it’s going to be such a fantastic event!
