Thank you to Golden Bay Primary School for welcoming us in to deliver The RICK Project.

In coastal communities like ours, education around beach safety is essential. Creating opportunities to have these conversations early helps equip young people with the knowledge and awareness they need to stay safe.

We’re incredibly grateful to be able to share this message and to work alongside schools who prioritise the wellbeing of their students ❤️💛

If you’d like to see our program delivered in your school, send us a message to lock in a date!

Last weekend we celebrated the incredible women in our community for International Women’s Day 2026 💜

We are truly honoured to have received the Zonta Special Recognition Award on behalf of The RICK Project. Thank you to Zonta for recognising our beach safety education program and the work being done to empower and support young people in our community.

Zonta does incredible work both locally and globally, advocating for gender equality and empowering women and girls through leadership, education, service and advocacy. Events like these not only celebrate the achievements of women in our community, but also continue to shine a light on the importance of collective action and creating opportunities for women and girls to thrive.

This recognition also belongs to the many young leaders, volunteers and supporters who continue to show up with passion, courage and a genuine commitment to looking out for one another. The RICK Project is built on the belief that when we educate, encourage and empower young people, we create safer and stronger communities.

Congratulations to all of the inspiring women recognised across the awards on the day, and thank you again to Zonta for the honour and for the important work you continue to do in our community 💜

❤️💛 FUN FRIDAY FOR SURF LIFE SAVING AUSTRALIA’S RED AND YELLOW DAY ❤️💛

Last Friday, staff at Oakwood Primary School dressed in red and yellow in honour of Surf Life Saving Australia’s first ever Red and Yellow Day.

A collection jar was placed in the staffroom for anyone who wished to donate a gold coin, with all proceeds going toward The RICK Project to help bring this important beach safety program to schools across WA.

Thanks to the generosity of the Oakwood Primary School community, an amazing $108.75 was raised.

We are incredibly grateful for the support and for helping us continue sharing vital beach safety education with children across The Peel Region. ❤️💛

We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Maggie Dent for her incredible support of the RICK Project.

In the early stages of developing our RICK Project incursion, Maggie generously shared her professional insight, guiding us on how to meaningfully engage children during presentations and ensure our message truly connects. Her advice helped shape the foundation of what this project has become.

Today, she once again offered invaluable tips and practical strategies to strengthen our leaders’ presenting skills. Her wisdom, warmth and depth of experience continue to make a lasting impact on our team ~ particularly the mums behind the scenes of the project!

We are so grateful for your guidance, Maggie. Thank you for helping us empower the next generation. 💛

A big thank you to the small group of our family and friends in Melbourne who set out to do a run for Rick at the same time as we did here in Wa, we love all our Melbourne family and really appreciate all your love and support from across the state. They helped raised an additional $105.30 to go towards The RICK Project, which is just so incredibly thoughtful of them! So we thank you all for your love and continuous support ❤️

💙 Run for Rick ~ Thank You 💙

What an incredible morning. Together, we raised $1,771.60 for The RICK Project, where we can continue to deliver this very important message to all of our coastal kids, we couldn’t have done it without every single one of you.

Thank you to everyone who supported Run for Rick, those who helped in the lead up, volunteered on the day, ran, walked, paddled, donated, cooked, set up, packed down and showed up. It truly takes a village, and ours is something special.

A special thank you to Ovenden Bakery and Johnson Meats for their generous donations to our sausage sizzle. Your ongoing support makes such a difference and we are so grateful.

Rick’s legacy continues to bring people together in the best way. Bring on next year!

Thank you for being part of it 💙
