On 15 and 16 November, teams from across West Arnhem Land will come in for a few huge days of footy.

The Sydney Swans will also be coming, so come and meet your favourite footy stars! 🟥⬜

This is all part of our Kick the Habit program under Top End Tackling Indigenous Smoking , supporting Maningrida to live smoke-free and healthy.

Our Healthy Skin Week story 💚

Our Rheumatic Heart Disease (RHD) team recently had the opportunity to present at the National ARF and RHD Summit.

We talked about the growth of Healthy Skin Week (HSW), from an idea about tackling a major health concern to a community event held twice a year.

Starting in 2022, we’ve now run 6 events across Maningrida sending teams of health workers to homes, schools and businesses to provide skin check-ups and talk about healthy living.

HSW continues to grow each time and now includes ECHO scanning, strep A testing and a strong community-wide partnership to help prevent RHD.

As always, we’d like to thank all our health staff, community workers, sponsors, partners and the community who have all been a part of this journey and make HSW possible.

Healthy homes, healthy skin, healthy hearts 💚
