Breastfeeding is a complex, personal decision.

The fact that I managed to tandem feed, fills me with such joy.

The beginning of my journey was tough.

I had to persevere, I had to trial what worked for me and my babies.

It took an emotional toll. It took a physical toll.

But I regret nothing.

I'd do things differently now with the knowledge I have.

But past me, she did a fu***ng great job.

Patience is a virtue.

But waiting for labour when you're tired, you're aching and you just want something to shift.

It is exhausting and draining and infuriating.

Your mood shifts from excitement to impatience and frustration and back again.

And if you receive another "have you tried this.." or "any signs yet?!" You might just actually scream.

Because it's unhelpful, it's overwhelming and right now if instead of messages with little tact to how you are actually feeling, they instead went on a small walk with you or baked some treats for the middle of the night insomnia you're probably dealing with, did a load of laundry or just chatted to you.

It might feel different, lighter and less like the world thinking your doing it wrong, and out of time.

Because this stretch of time is quiet and unseen but still needs that nurturing touch to feel like you are safe, you are seen and you are supported.

I was all about that cucumber salad a while back.

Now I cannot stop making this one.

All you need is 👇

• Sliced iceberg lettuce
• Sliced green cabbage
• Greek style yoghurt
• Rice wine vinegar
• Pepper
• Salt

And whatever protein you want, with a drizzle of sriracha mayo and you are done.

It's crisp, it's refreshing and perfect for summer.

When is labour going to start!!!

I get it, you are in your due month and wanting labour to start. Something to shift or give you the biggest declaration that labour is here and soon your little one is too.

For me, the days leading up to my second birth looked alot like 👇

• Exhaustion. Different from what I felt during the whole pregnancy. My body needed rest, it craved it.
• I lost my mucus plug slowly, gradually and just resorted to wearing pads because it was too much 😅.
• My belly dropped even lower and my pelvis started to have a dull ache.
• Periodic back cramps that would wrap around my sides.
• I felt so much pressure down in my va**na, that my waddle looked ridiculous 😅
• My moods swung between frustration and excitement so quickly. Like I was anticipating something but couldn't remember what it was!
