🥔✨ Potato Harvest Day Success ✨🥔
A spud-tacular adventure recently in our new Harry & Clare Friday Foundation Garden at the Farm. Our awesome students and staff rolled up their sleeves, dug into the dirt, and discovered just how many potatoes were hiding beneath the soil. So many little (or not-so-little!) potatoes popped out. 😄
Gardening is such a calming, sensory-friendly way for our kids to learn, explore, and we all take pride in growing something from the ground up. And honestly… who doesn’t love the magic of finding buried treasure that you can actually cook for dinner? 🥔💛

Our chickens have arrived and are settling in well to their new home and routine. They like hanging out at the Farmhouse dam. Yummy fresh eggs to come, plus all of the wonderful hands-on animal interactions and animal management learnings as the big bonus. Every year the incredible Oscars100 Hut 2 Hut event raises vital funds for Mansfield Autism - and this year is extra special. It’s their 10-year anniversary, and they’re helping us build our much‑needed sensory playground! The Hut2Hut is an inclusive alpine ultramarathon with something for everyone: 100km, 50km, 23km, or 10km. Each year our MASS crews an aid station to cheer on the runners, and many of our staff and families take part too.
This year’s Team MASS runners are Joycee, Lucas, Mercia, Alan, Molly, Eliza and Narelle 🤩

First harvest from our 'Harry and Clare Friday Foundation Garden' at our Farm. Planting, growing and picking the produce and then preparing scrumptious meals are all part of our local school learning program. Paddock to plate! Can't wait to see what they cook up and what our 'Thrive' program students will offer at our next school market sale day. The added bonus of being staff.👏 Our farm garden was made possible with the generous support of the Harry and Clare Friday Foundation.

Moooooooving in! Our miniature Galloway cows are arriving soon at the Farm. We can’t wait to meet Matilda S’mores,Twix & Buffy. They’re all quiet, well handled and trained for their new roles as an integral part of our animal integration program. Plus they’re all pregnant, with little ones expected around April. Paddocks are ready. And their breeder and trainer is coming to visit to share insights and lead some staff training. Mooooooooooo

It's been a stressful time for all up our way with the bushfires and our hearts go out to those directly affected. Our farm has come through unscathed and we are well set up with water and fire protection infrastructure. Our regular suite of autism support service provision was on hold for a few days, while our focus was on respite and crisis support. Things have returned to 'normal' now, albeit it's smoky and we are vigilant in monitoring updates. Beyond grateful for our emergency services.
