The stud comprises of 300 registered (HBR & APR)
females run on a combination of natural and improv The stud is owned and operated by Finger Pastoral Company.

Over the last almost 50 years the belief that “profitability lies in the performance and efficiency of the cow herd” has remained unchanged and is integral to the operation. Riga Angus Stud is a family owned business run on “Nillahcootie Park” situated 10km North West of Mansfield on the Midland Hwy. Current on farm contacts being Vera and Tim. The stud comprises of 250 registered (HBR & APR) Autumn calving females and 50 Spring calving females. Pastures are a combination of natural and improved pastures on grey sandy loam soils in a moderate rainfall zone. Riga was established in 1972 and continues to produce bulls that suit a variety of markets from grass fed to grain. Yearling Bulls are sold in the Annual April Sale with other sales available throughout the year upon enquiry.

The bulls have had a busy few days with our Open Day yesterday and lot video capture.
Thank you to everyone who made the trip to inspect the bulls. We truly appreciated the opportunity to meet with you and discuss all things cattle.

Sale Day is fast approaching and bulls are undergoing their final assessments. Thank you to Dr Anna Manning from Delatite Veterinary Services for her expertise in collection and initial analysis of the bull s***m using iSperm mCASA technology as well as the related physical examinations of the bulls. Withdrawn lots will become available soon. Mean while hard copies of the catalogue have been mailed out. Please reach out if you would like a copy.
