Your Energy is Low …

But what does that mean?

Does it mean you struggle to get through the day?

Struggle to keep your eyes open?

Do you get anger, and emotional because you just don’t have the energy to get through a task?

Do you then try to sleep when your body is heavy?

But do your eyes and your mind not let you drift off?

Another sleepless night feeds into a tired day.

Why is your energy low to begin with?

Have you considered nutrient deficiency?

Have you considered high stress?
Is your gut and digestion slow?
Is your thyroid struggling?

Last weeks event got me thinking, I LOVE educating.

To me this lights me up, speaking to a room of women and allowing them to have ah - ha moments and be blown away that they don’t need to experience symptoms when it comes to their health.

Thank f*ck Covid is over so we can all communicate within a 1.5m radius am I right? Hahaha

It has taken me a little while to get back into the swing of things after having Zavi (10 months ago 😐). And it’s been tough learning the juggle of two, school AND wanting to work and educate.

BUT, I’m here now, and I’m excited, and ready to get stuck into pure content, so you can all learn more about how your wonderful bodies are meant to work 🫶🏼

HORMONES and XMAS//

If you’ve been keeping on top of diet and lifestyle choices this year to support and manage your hormones the thought of Christmas celebrations can be a lil overwhelming right ?

Cue alcohol, sugar, late nights and probably a whole heap of cheese and biccie platters 🤪

So here’s some very simples tips to keep your hormones on track this Chrissy✅

🙋🏼‍♀️ PROTEIN: eat the protein, and start your day off with a great breakfast (don’t skimp on things like eggs, oats, smoothies ect) to start your day with well balanced blood sugars. This will help sustain your energy and keep you full for longer (aka less snacking).

🤷🏼‍♀️ ALCOHOL - let’s be honest your probably going to be offered a drink at some point over the holidays ( and I don’t blame you if you want to celebrate and relax with your fam). But copious amounts of high histamine and high sugar alcohol will affect your periods and hormones - there’s no nice way to put it! So try swap out the champagne and the rose’ for some spirits and sofa water - gin and vodka with soda and some fresh fruit can be a great alternative.

😵‍💫SUGAR - cakes, trifle, apple crumple yum yum yum. But a few Christmas parties later you’ll probably be feeling the sting of have my high sugar in your diet. Try having smaller plates and make sure you have protein and fats before and after your dessert (to help your body breakdown and eliminate the sugar)

But remember to have a great time, because relaxing and not having anywhere to be can also be so super to your hormones, don’t forget how big of an impact stress has on them 🥳

How am I 3 months postpartum already?

POV your family think your a bit cray a week before your period 🫠

Do you get the feeling that almost exactly a week before your cycle, your mood completely switches. Maybe you don’t even feel like yourself at all.

Irritability.
Anger.
Frustration.
Emotional.

That is one part of what we call PMS- pre menstrual symptoms.

And anxiety and depression are so common in this period.

Experiencing PMS mood conditions is NOT normal.

In fact it’s the opposite to how your hormones are meant to make you feel 🥺

And one very common reason women experience this? Stress.

Because stress depletes your progesterone.

But it’s not the only reason.

Things like mineral deficiency, oestrogen dominance, diet ect also play an huge role.

If your tired of feeling this way, I feel you. I’ve been there. And there is loads you can do.

You better believe that I'm back on the tools!

Yep! You heard that right, after having the last (almost) 3 months off with our happy little guy, I'm getting back into consulting from MONDAY 5th DECEMBER.

It's a little earlier than I expected, but the wonderful Katherine (who some of you would've met over the last few months) has been offered a job (yay) and will be moving on from helping me out at SCNH. She did a fabulous job at keeping my clients happy and I would realy like to wish her all the very best.

AND as Zavi is such a chill, happy baby. I feel ready to get back into seeing my clients (slowly) who I have missed during my time away.

Now I will have very limited hours as I ease into getting used to breast feeding/ consulting and all of the challenges that come with working and a new baby, but by January I hope to have it all figured out, and have a little more routine. But for now I will only be seeing clients Monday evenings and Thursdays. HOWEVER if you need to see me outside of these hours, this can most likely be arranged (just reach out and let me know).

I will be practicing between Monday 5th December and Thursday 15th December so limited spaces available pre Christmas. The clinic will then be shut between the 16th December and will re-open Thursday 5th Jan.

SO if you where waiting until January to get back on top of your health goals, OR you'd like an updated plan for the Christmas period. Then jump online and book in before Xmas. If you'd like to wait until next year to get back on track, then bookings are now open for 2023, so with the limited spaces available each week atm, jump online and book in for then.

Too often I hear women mention, in passing that their libido is either low or non- existent all together.

It's nearly like- we accept that a low libido is normal, and that this isnt a symptom of a deeper issue that needs to be addressed.

We just put up with a low libido, because what can you do about it?

If fact there is loads you can do about it.

And the key factors that often play a huge role in low libido are
> STRESS
> NUTRIENT DEFICIENCIES
> IRREGULAR OR WEAK OVULATION
> LOW OESTROGEN
> LOW PROGESTERONE

Just to name a few.

So yes, a low libido is something to note, and it is not to take lightly.

Stop putting up with feeling anything less than incredible.
