Why I Ride Ba****ck & Practice Yoga 🐴
People often ask me why I’m so passionate about both yoga and ba****ck riding…
The truth is, they go hand in hand.
Yoga keeps my hips open, my body mobile, and my seat soft.
It helps me release tension through the psoas, glutes, adductors and all the little stabilising muscles that horse riding loves to tighten. On the mat, I reconnect with my breath, my posture, and my pelvic alignment, so when I’m in the saddle, everything feels more balanced and intentional.
Ba****ck riding takes that awareness to another level.
With no saddle, I feel every movement of my horse — every lift, sway, and shift. It teaches me to soften, follow, and trust my body.
No gripping.
No forcing.
Just pure balance, connection, and communication.
Riding ba****ck makes me a better yoga teacher.
Yoga makes me a better rider.
Together, they keep my hips free, my core switched on, my mind calm, and my partnership with my horse deeply intuitive.
This is why I do both.
