“I don’t have time for this!” you might say when you look at this picture..

Yes, I understand that you are busy and tired. We, mums/dads, all are! but we might have different priorities.

Yes, healthy meals can take time and extra energy to prepare.

For example, it requires to do some prepping ahead, such as roasting the pumpkins, cooking some meat or eggs.

It also requires to have the right ingredients in the fridge and in the pantry.

It can also take about 10 minutes to put it all together.

BUT it’s up to us, how we look at these things.

For me ALL of these little steps are INVESTMENTS in my health, CONSCIOUS decisions, CHOICES to nurture my body and not to burden it.

The choice is yours!

SUNSHINE FIX 🌤️☀️

When you child doesn’t feel like a walk on the beach but you need your sunshine and ocean fix, this is one way to get it done 😎

Catching the sun for 10 minutes between fast moving clouds at my favourite spot, looking over Gnarabup beach.

It was only 10 minutes but the SMELL and SOUND of the big blue and the WARMTH of the sun on my face quickly recharged my batteries and I felt more ALIVE for the rest of the day!

To eat breakfast or not to eat breakfast? this is NOT the question!

The real question is: WHAT to eat for breakfast?

The answer is: it depends!

What each of us needs for breakfast will vary according to what we are doing during that particular day and if we have any goals we want to achieve.

For me, during winter, the ultimate brekkie looks like the one on the picture, especially when I am off to work in the pharmacy. It’s filling, loaded with nutrients, low in carbs (works best for me), high in protein, fibre and good fats, and there is something special for my gut microbiome.

This brekkie will keep me going for many hours before I start thinking about food again. This is handy when I work in a busy dispensary.

Even though it looks big, this breakfast won’t give me food coma, because it’s low in sugar, so it won’t touch my insulin levels much, if at all.

Do I eat like this every morning? No!

I have lazy (or super busy) mornings where all I have is a protein smoothie or some granola with yogurt, and that’s okay. But I know that after these small brekkies I will be hungry in a couple of hours and I have to prep my lunch and snacks accordingly.

Knowing how food affects your body and tuning in to observe each feelings can be super empowering.

You can too work with your body to improve your health or to lift your wellbeing to the next level. If you need help I’m always happy to chat ☺️
