“We Can Make Better Magic”
They dressed it up in tinsel
and they sold us glowing cheer,
said “This is what joy looks like!”
but it never felt sincere.
’Cause beneath the shine and wrapping
and the ritual of stuff,
my soul kept softly whispering,
“Surely love itself’s enough?”
We were taught that Christmas sparkle
comes from what we buy and bring,
that plastic snow and shopping bags
mean peace on Earth can sing.
But the Earth was never smiling
at the mountains left in waste,
and the Spirit wasn’t breathing
in the rush, the noise, the haste.
Still I’m not here just to burn it
or to tear the myth apart,
’Cause there’s wonder in this story
and there’s goodness in the heart.
There’s the child who still believes in
secret kindness through the night,
and the way a room can soften
when love flickers into light.
I want to keep that magic,
the invisible, the real —
not the version mass-produced
but the one our souls can feel.
The magic found in laughter,
and the kindness freely shared,
the miracle of presence,
showing up because we cared.
So let the old world gently crumble
where it’s hollow, worn, untrue.
Let the rituals that numb us
fall apart like they must do.
But let’s gather what is sacred
from the ashes of before,
and plant traditions rooted
in the Earth we all adore.
Let’s feast on gratitude and time,
not just calories and wine.
Let the prayer be in our breathing,
let the ceremony shine.
Let children wake to wonder
not from lies we had to sell —
but from knowing they are cherished,
and the Earth is loved as well.
We don’t need a myth of magic
that’s delivered in the night;
We can be the ones who bring it,
We can live the guiding light.
We can craft a kinder holiday,
one that heals, not just distracts,
Where the gift we give the future
is a world that loves them back.
So here’s to something gentler,
something honest, brave, and true —
We’re not killing Christmas, darling…
We’re just letting it renew.
With hearts awake and hands together,
let’s rewrite how we belong…
Because wonder isn’t dying,
It’s been waiting
All along.

🌙 Peace & Tranquility of the Mind 🌿
A simple lifestyle approach for everyday life
Peace of mind is not something we force or achieve.
It is something we remember & return to and gently practice, one small moment at a time.
Begin where you are (not where you think you should be)
Peace does not require a perfect routine, a silent mind or hours of meditation.
It begins with honest awareness.
Pause once a day and ask: “How do I feel right now?”
No fixing, No judging, Just noticing.
This simple act softens the nervous system and builds self trust.

Slow the body first, the mind will follow
A busy mind often lives in a rushed body.
Try one or two of these daily:
• Drink your tea without multitasking
• Walk a little slower than usual
• Breathe out longer than you breathe in
• Rest your hands on your heart or belly
Peace arrives through the body before it reaches the mind.

Create tiny moments of stillness (not big expectations)
Stillness does not mean silence it means presence.
• Sit quietly for 2 minutes before bed
• Watch the sky change colours
• Light a candle and breathe with it
Consistency matters more than length.

Gently reduce mental noise
We live in a world of constant input.
Peace grows when we consciously choose less.
• Fewer tabs open
(both on screens and in the mind)
• Less reacting, more responding
• One task at a time whenever possible
Ask often: “Is this necessary right now?”

Befriend your thoughts instead of fighting them
The mind thinks that’s its job.
Peace comes when we stop believing every thought.
When something stressful arises, try saying:
“I notice I’m having this thought…”
“This is a moment of fear, not a permanent truth.”
This creates space between you and the story.

Choose nourishment over stimulation
What we consume shapes our inner world.
• Gentle music over constant noise
• Food from the earth
• Conversations that feel safe and real
• Time in nature whenever possible
• Commuity that aligns with your own values

As this year gently comes to a close, we wish to pause and offer our deepest thank you to our beautiful, open hearted community & volunteers.
Your presence, your time, your support, your kindness, your trust, your softness and courage to show up just as you are has been the true medicine of this space.
It is an honour to walk alongside you all.
As you move through this season, may you find time to truly connect with loved ones, with the Earth beneath your feet and with the quiet wisdom within.
May you rest deeply, explore freely and indulge in food that nourishes not only your body, but your spirit.
