The aim of a Kinesiology session is to help restore balance to the body. Kinesiology does not diagnose, nor does it treat named diseases. We identify imbalances in the body’s structural, chemical, emotional or other energy through muscle monitoring, and use further feedback from the body to determine which techniques are indicated to help restore balance. These techniques may include holding or massaging reflex points, gentle muscle manipulation, nutritional assessment or other processes as indicated by the body. Kinesiology may help in a whole range of situations including
· Stress, anxiety, depression
· Digestive issues
· Sleep difficulties
· Pain both acute and prolonged
· Women’s health
· Children’s health
· Behavioural issues
· General wellbeing
· Ongoing health concerns
· Goal setting and achieving those goals
· And many more
Clients often report change after just one session, however it is suggested that you undertake 2-3 sessions to fully explore the condition you are working to improve. A kinesiology session typically lasts for one hour, during which time you will remain fully clothed. Because a variety of muscles, including those of the leg, are tested, we suggest you wear comfortable shorts or trousers rather than a dress or skirt. A detailed history is taken on your first visit as well as information about the condition you are hoping to improve. We will set a goal for the session and proceed with muscle testing and indicated techniques to work towards your goal. No two kinesiology sessions are the same and one person coming in with digestive issues will need an entirely different approach to another.
