Formerly Home Instead Australia, Dovida provides high-quality person-centred home care across Brisbane North and Caboolture. Dovida creates a Circle of Care that places individuals at the centre of a holistic support system, uniting families, our skilled caregivers, our support teams, and the wider healthcare community. We provide a range of services including everyday companionship, domestic assistance, personal care, meal preparation, medication reminders, and transport to appointments, shopping and social outings. Care is available up to 24hrs a day and ranges from light housekeeping to dementia care and palliative care.

This week we introduce our Client Services Manager - Roxanne.

Roxy oversees the day-to-day operations of our business, making sure everything runs smoothly and that we deliver the absolute best care and support to our clients.

How long have you been with Dovida?
6 wonderful years!

What I love most about my role at Dovida BNC:
What truly lights me up is the genuine connections I get to build with our amazing team and with our clients. There’s nothing more rewarding than hearing how we’ve made a real difference in someone’s life. Those moments remind me exactly why I love what I do!

How long have you been in the Aged Care and Disability sector?
6 years and counting! Before that, I served in the UK Police Force, and since moving to Australia 13 years ago, I’ve also run a building business with my husband. It’s been quite the journey!

Hobbies and things I love to do:
Spending quality time with my two beautiful kids, soaking up the sunshine at the beach, curling up with a good book, catching up with friends—and of course, enjoying amazing food (my happy place!).

Something interesting about me:
I was born in South Africa, lived in the UK, and now proudly call Australia home. I also speak two languages!

Favourite food:
Anyone who knows me knows I love all food! But if I had to choose, a perfectly cooked medium rare steak with red wine jus, chips, and salad always hits the spot.

Favourite holiday destination:
Anywhere new! I love exploring different cultures, trying local food, and discovering hidden gems wherever I go.

What I’m most looking forward to with Support at Home:
I’m so excited to see more of our Aged Care community receiving the supports they deserve. With shared funding, we have the opportunity to touch more lives, make a bigger impact, and help people stay in their homes—where they feel happiest—for longer.

Today we introduce our hardworking, fabulous Finance Officer Karin who has been with Dovida (formerly Home Instead) for 3.5 years.

"At Dovida, I support our team, our clients, and the business by managing end-to-end accounts receivable for all brokered, private, Home Care Package, NDIS, and WorkCover clients, as well as overseeing all accounts payable, financial reporting, and reconciliations to ensure smooth and compliant financial operations within our business."

What do you enjoy about your role at Dovida BNC?
I enjoy the variety and impact of my role at Dovida — supporting both the team and our clients by ensuring accurate financial processes, while contributing to the care and wellbeing of individuals within the aged care system. Being part of a team that makes a real difference in people's lives is incredibly rewarding.

How long in the Aged Care and Disability sector? 3.5 years

Hobbies or extra-curricular activities you enjoy?
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I love live music of all genres, gardening, going on holidays and crocheting.

Something interesting about yourself: When I travel, I have a quirky hobby of hunting down old leadlight glass windows. It's like a treasure hunt for colourful stories hidden in glass.

Favourite food: Italian

Favourite movie: Pride & Prejudice

Favourite holiday destination: Seminyak, Bali

What you are most looking forward to in regard Support at Home:
Ultimately, I'm looking forward to seeing more clients/individuals empowered to live independently and comfortably in their own homes for longer. I look forward to ensuring financial processes are seamless with the new changes to ensure clients feel supported. It's exciting to be part of a system that prioritizes support and improves the wellbeing of our clients and community.
