We had our staff/volunteer training day yesterday followed by our Christmas celebration. Only about half of our team were able to make it, but here they are. These are the people (and those who couldn’t attend) who make it possible for Aligned Living to continue to offer our services to survivors of difficult life situations. Their kindness, dedication and generosity warm my heart and encourage me to keep doing what we are doing. I am so grateful to have these people in my life (and those not pictured). I’m excited for next year because of their support. As I wrote out a Christmas card for each one my heart was full thinking about how each person has contributed their gifts, talents, time, energy and finances this year. I feel so special to be surrounded and supported by so many beautiful people. 🙏🙌🥰

We had some flooding yesterday with the heavy rain and our shed ended up with mud inside. The big green bin was knocked over, the mat had moved about 1M towards the shed, the rug that was in the shed was so covered in mud that you couldn’t even tell it had patterns on it, the waste bin inside the shed floated down to the rear door where I guess the flow of water was going. The most amazing thing was that the hay didn’t get wet at all. It was sitting on a tarp but not off the ground. I don’t see how the shed could have flooded that much that the bin is floating around but the hay was still dry! It’s a miracle as far as I can tell. I’m very grateful 🥹 Thank You Jesus 🙏

I would like to introduce Simba to you all as the newest member of our team! Simba is a 5.5yr old Andalusian gelding who is on lease for 12 months with us (with possible extension) to help us with our clients who want to ride. Simba is still in training so we will get him used to the property and take things slowly with him to build his confidence and give him good experiences so that he enjoys his work. Simba is very wise, calm and friendly with people, we think he has the perfect temperament to be supporting clients on their journey through life. Welcome Simba!
