A predominantly small group discussion, presentation and scenario-based program designed to allow participants to learn the basics of managing obstetric and Neonatal patients in the isolated field with limited resources in Australia, New Zealand, international remote, and austere locations.

Our Remote Area Emergency Care offers students a hands on 2-day course to help grow your confidence and hone your skills in remote emergency care.
Topics covered include- Packaging for Transfer / Retrieval, Rural and Remote Sector overview (including International), Resources Sector overview, Crisis Resource management, Patient Safety and Wellness, The Sick Child, Stop-Bleed, Splinting and Immobilisation, ECG and Rhythm Interpretation, Basic Wound Closure (Suturing, Stapling, Gluing), Basic Plaster Casting, Advanced Airway, including RSI Processes, Intravenous cannulation, Intraosseous insertion and Could this be Sepsis?
