Hi my name is Felicity, I am a strengths-based, person-centred counsellor dedicated to supporting clients through a wide range of mental health challenges. With a compassionate and empathetic approach, I endeavour to help individuals navigate issues such as depression, anxiety, grief, stress, trauma, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, and emotional regulation. By focusing on clients' inherent strengths and potential, I aim to empower you to build resilience and create meaningful, lasting change in your life.

To the parent who spends all day juggling their own emotions, their child/children’s emotions and all the other stuff life throws at us… work, school, therapy appointments, doctors offices, “well-meaning advice givers”, judgement or criticism from those you wish would offer a gentle word of encouragement or support… then gets up the next day and does it all again!
I see you…and even more than that.. I’ve BEEN you!
I know those times where you get to the end of the day and think.. “I’m the worst mum ever” or “I yelled too much today” or “my child will hate me forever” or “I have no idea what I’m doing and nothing seems to help” or “Does my child even know how much I love them?”
Know this.. there’s no such thing as a perfect parent AND you care so much because you are a GREAT parent trying their very best!
This doesn’t mean it’s easy.. it’s not!
It doesn’t mean things can’t change… they can!
It DOES mean you need more support than you’re getting. It also means some things do need to change.. and that can also feel exhausting!

This week, I had the incredible opportunity to attend an Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) training course in Brisbane, facilitated by none other than Dr. Russ Harris, author of The Happiness Trap and a global leader in ACT.
To learn directly from someone whose work has profoundly shaped the way we approach mental flexibility, values-based living, and psychological well-being was both humbling and energising. Dr. Harris’ ability to blend evidence-based strategies with compassion and real-world application brought ACT to life in a way that was both practical and deeply human.
ACT isn’t just a therapeutic model — it’s a way of living. The tools and insights gained during this course will not only enrich my professional practice but also continue to influence how I show up personally: more present, more open, and more connected to what truly matters.
