Massage Etiquette ☺️
Here are some do’s & do not’s!
✔️ shower before your appointment, especially if you have exercised.
✔️ take your consultation seriously, we want to know everything so be completely honest with us so we can treat you in the best way!
✔️ dress to your comfort level - we want you to be comfortable throughout your appointment so please dress appropriately and tell your therapist if you do not want to expose any skin.
✔️ communicate with us, please talk to us if you want pressure changed, if you are in pain, anything!
✔️ arrive on time - please be punctual to your appointment and if you are going to be late let us know.
✔️ drink plenty of water after your appointments to stay hydrated.
✔️ avoid caffeine after your appointment - this will dehydrate you!
Do not;
✖️ attend your appointment if unwell, a massage could make you feel worse and we don’t want to get ill either!
✖️ eat too much too soon prior or after, it will make you feel tired and sluggish.
✖️ do any high intensity activity post appointment, this can reverse the effects of the massage.
✖️ skip or ignore the advice we give, there is a reason we have said it and we will know if you have!
✖️ think 1 massage will ‘fix’ you instantly, if you have had a pain for 10 years it will take time!
✖️ use the term ‘masseuse’ or ask for ‘extras’ it is highly inappropriate and not funny. We have worked hard for our qualifications.
For all clients please do not feel self conscious, we recognise that all bodies are different and beautiful, we are there to look after your muscles. Do not worry about body hair - WE DON’T CARE if you haven’t shaved!! Please don’t feel you have to make an effort for us, makeup will get smudged, fake tan will come off, hair will get greasy from massage mediums.
Thanks ☺️
