Today, we are deeply honoured to welcome Laxmi Thapa Bist into the Lewis Aid Skills Training family — not just as a Trainer and Assessor, but as someone whose heart, values, and spirit truly reflect who we are.
Laxmi’s journey as a Registered Nurse has taken her through hospitals, aged care homes, community spaces, and countless lives she has touched with her quiet strength and gentle compassion. From Nepal to Australia, her story is one of courage, dedication, and service — and it fills us with pride to have someone of her character join our team.
What stands out most about Laxmi is her heart for people.
She carries a deep connection to community, grounded in empathy and genuine care. Whether she is supporting patients at St George Hospital or guiding students in the classroom, she shows kindness that makes others feel safe, seen, and valued. Her calm presence, her patience, and her ability to uplift those around her are qualities that cannot be taught — they come from who she is.
Her extensive experience across NSW and Tasmania, her commitment to lifelong learning, and her professional achievements are remarkable. But beyond all the qualifications and clinical expertise, it is her humanity that shines the brightest.
At Lewis Aid Skills Training, we believe in nurturing not just skills, but people — and Laxmi embodies this beautifully.
Laxmi, we welcome you with open hearts.
We are grateful for the care you bring, the compassion you live by, and the community spirit you carry so naturally. You are already an asset to us, and we look forward to the lives you will touch and inspire through your teaching.
Welcome home to Lewis Aid Skills Training.
Together, we grow.
Together, we serve.
Together, we make a difference.
