The Art of Expression Counselling & Art Therapy services The Art of Expression gives you the opportunity to express yourself in a way you feel most comfortable with.

This could be through the counselling sessions where you can express yourself verbally or through the art therapy sessions where you can express yourself using art. We will provide you with a safe, comfortable, confidential and supportive place where you can share your personal thoughts, feelings and concerns. The Art of Expression can help you with those moments in your life where you need someone to support you, be there for you, guide you. You might be experiencing difficulties with; life transitions, personal growth, grief and loss, loneliness, separation issues, relationship issues etc. We will work with you in overcoming your difficulties and improve your positive health and well-being. Are you seeking support for your child? At The Art of Expression we can support your child who might be dealing with anxiety, bullying, family separation, low self-esteem, emotional regulation difficulties, friendship problems etc. We will support your child in their personal growth, building their resilience and improve their positive health and well-being.

Have you ever been told by your therapist you need to journal? ๐Ÿ“
It's a great way to express and let go of your thoughts and express your feelings, to get things out of your head. But.... it does not come that easy and for some people it becomes a chore rather then a helpful exercise.
There are many ways you can journal and it does not have to be using a blank page! Here are two examples:
1. creative journaling by using an 'old' book to let the words on the page inspire you to express ๐ŸŽจ
2. a journal with prompts you can follow ๐Ÿ“˜

Always good to experiment with a new material before introducing it in a therapy session! I am using methyl cellulose for the glue-paste. Result: it worked out really well!
