The girls group have decided they have now created an end of year tradition - for the second time they requested cookie decorating for our last session of the year 🍪 Not all cookies made it out of the door...😅

From January 2026 The Art of Expression will be at Innovation House in Mawson Lakes. Although it will be sad to say goodbye to the space on Metro Parade, it will be exciting to see what the new space will bring. We stay in the lovely Mawson Lakes close to the lake and park and a big bonus...parking will be much easier!

We all know we should have a break - we should go for that walk. How easy is it to get caught up with work and before you know it there is no time left for that walk 🤔 It's not always "a walk in the park". But when I did go for that walk nature rewarded me with these cute little ducklings 🦆

Art therapy groups area great way to connect with others.👨‍👨‍👧‍👦 Sharing, listening and joining in conversations in the group can help you understand others and yourself. Shared experiences can make you feel understood, and supported.
Art therapy groups also allow you to work on your own individual goals. 🖌🎨

What an honour hosting the Stories in Art exhibition ! Everyone who visited has been impressed by all the amazing artworks on display 💕 Our community artwork Threads of Connection has grown over the two days, with everyone adding their own little bit of flair to it! A colourful masterpiece 🧶 Thank you all for chatting to us about all things art therapy 😍

SA Death Festival: A warm, practical day for real conversations about life, death and dying. Expect talks from thoughtful speakers with clinical, community, and lived experience; gentle guided meditations to steady your breath; and children’s sessions that use stories and creativity to make big feelings safe. Come for one session or stay all day—you’ll find clarity, kindness, and community (not doom and gloom). We will be making memory boxes with the children!
