The managing partners Stacey Fuller and Louise McLean have 35 years combined experience as pharmacists. Capital Chemist Southlands offers a variety of healthcare services, and specialise in measuring and fitting Medical Compression Stockings. The store was recently renovated to install a dispensing robot and 6 consulting rooms to provide the best service we can to our customers. The team at Capital Chemist Southlands strive to uphold the Capital Chemist ambition of providing outstanding pharmaceutical health services to the local community, where our vision, values and customer focus provide the drive to do what we do best!

Just wanted to pop in and update everyone on the huge progress we have made with the a_gender_agenda (AGA) donation program so far.

Thanks to our community, we have been able to donate a massive total of $960 within the last 4 months!

These proceeds have gone towards different programs within the AGA, supporting the local LGBTQIA+ youth with the Gender Expression Collective (GEC), providing an accessible pantry for gender affirming garments at low or no cost, and the various community outreach programs that AGA organise.

There are still items available and we will be doing a restock soon (we will get the lanyards back don’t worry)

Please come in and purchase one of the minus18youth ‘Ally’ pins or ribbons to wear and show support to our Canberra community.

Again a massive thank you to everyone that has shown their support so far!

Mx and Mx Blåhaj would like to let the q***r and gender diverse community in Canberra and surrounds know that Capital Chemist Southlands provides a safe and supportive environment for patients needing gender affirming care to seek support.
Part of this commitment is the small but mighty range of Sock Drawer Heroes products we keep stocked in a quiet and private consulting room in our pharmacy. SDH, a Sydney-based, q***r-owned company, have been amazing partners in this space, and we are thankful to have been able to help support their goal of accessible and safe access to GAG.
We stock a range of SDH chest binders, as well as their Mixtape range.
We can help measure our patients for the right sizing, and provide all the information you need to use these products safely and effectively.

Today, our team showed up in their Pride shirts and purple best in proud support of Wear It Purple Day and LGBTQIA+ youth in our community.

More than ever, it is important to use our voice as health care professionals to ensure our patients have equal and equitable access to healthcare.

We are proud to offer services like our range of gender affirming garments from our buddies at Sock Drawer Heroes, which has enabled us to provide more holistic support to our gender diverse patients.

We promise to continue to support every patient who walks in our door with their health needs, regardless of their identity. For us, that means ensuring we can provide care that fits our patients’ unique needs, and showing our support for days like today!

P.s. we are still running our A Gender Agenda donation campaign! We have plenty of wrist bands and ribbon pins for you to show your pride or allyship with honour. 100% of the profit will go to A Gender Agenda, who have been a tremendous help in making our pharmacy even more q***r friendly.
