I remember getting on a packed train with a pregnant woman. She looked about 6 mths pregnant. I called out if anyone would stand up for the pregnant woman. No one stood up. Men sat looking at their phones. So my next try was "Would a gentleman stand up for the pregnant woman to sit down?" That got about 3 guys on their feet. A man nearby thanked me. It doesn't take much to think of others. And BTW, women and girls are menstruating, except the pregnant woman, and it can be really painful to be made to stand. It's not about gender equality. If men want to get on the gender conversation, let's talk about gender pay equality.
