NOEL FRANCIS OWERS

Noel was a true family man And when he wasn’t spending time with them he loved nothing more than being outside, swimming in the ocean, playing a round of golf, especially enjoying the 19th hole with a Fourex beer - draft only I’ve heard. None of that other stuff.

Rest In Peace Noel ###

VALERIE ANN CARTER

An independent, self sufficient, stoic and at times bossy woman, Valerie has suffered a lot of loss in her life. But like the sunflowers that she loved so much, she always looked upwards towards the sun, looking for the positive in everything.

Valerie was described as one of the bravest people the family has ever met and just like the elephant trinkets that filled Valeries home. The Ganesh was one of her favourites. Ganesh symbolises the clearing of obstacles and paving the way for us to move forward in life.

Rest In Peace Valerie ###

GAY LUCINDA EDWARDS

Gay took great joy in the lives of her family. She was lovingly known as Rocky Nana by all her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

An independent and self sufficient practical woman, she has left behind memories her family will always treasure.

Rae Cook

This lady loved the water. Her happiest times were up at Hervey Bay, exploring Fraser Island or fishing the waters off 1770.

So the perfect place to say goodbye was overlooking the sparkling Moreton Bay, sipping cold bubbles and eating her favourite seafoods.

Rest now Rae. ###

Tony ‘Pa’ Stoppard

The best services to remember someone is to try and make sure you tell the stories. The good, the funny and the downright hilarious.

Another lovely inclusion is telling these stories with anecdotes thrown in.

We had some brilliant ‘Pa Sayings’ on Friday. They were made even funnier when his son used Pa’s English accent.

My two favourites were:

“Rush slowly”
“On your way up the ladder in life, don't pull anyone down, don’t stand on any fingers and give a hand up where you can.”

Pa was spot on.
