Anzac biscuits ✅
Anzac cookies ❌

During the First World War, people at home in Australia often sent parcels to their loved ones overseas containing biscuits made from rolled oats, golden syrup and flour.

These early forms of Anzac biscuits were high in nutritional value and a welcome change from the notorious tinned bully beef.

Ahead of Anzac Day this weekend, consider baking the perfect companions to a hot cuppa for yourself at home, or with your community at your local Gunfire Breakfast.
