ADHD & ASD: Understanding the Difference — and the Overlap

☀️ Summer Alert! ☀️

The next few months are going to bring some serious heat as usual for Perth, and we want everyone to stay safe and healthy! 🥵

Know the difference between Heat Exhaustion and Heat Stroke:

Heat Exhaustion Symptoms: Heavy sweating, weakness, dizziness, nausea/ vomiting, muscle aches.
What you should do: Cool down, hydrate, and rest in a shady spot if outside.

Heat Stroke: High body temperature, confusion, headaches, rapid heartbeat, nausea/ vomiting. This is serious and life-threatening – call 000 immediately! 🚨

What you can do to help prevent both from happening:
💧 Drink plenty of water.
🧢 Wear hats and light clothing.
🌬️ Stay in the shade or air-conditioned areas where possible.
🤝 Check in on family, friends, and neighbours.

❗️Measles alert – Watch out for symptoms ❗️

The Department of Health has updated a measles health alert following a recent case in the community.

The case visited multiple public venues including shops and food venues while infectious.

Anyone experiencing measles symptoms should be tested immediately.

Early symptoms include:
• Fever
• Tiredness
• Runny nose
• Cough
• Sore red eyes
• Red blotchy rash that usually starts on the face before spreading down to the body.
