Medowie Pilates Fitness & Massage offers the following services:
Pilates mat and equipment classes and individual sessions
- fitness classes involving cardio, mat exercises, weights, stretching and circuit exercises.
- personal training, including for those seeking to pass fitness tests for the RAAF and NSW police service
- private fitness classes for work and school groups
- supervision of private rehabilitation programs designed in conjunction with physiotherapists
- Beat It program, which is accredited with the Diabetes Council - this programme is for those with or at risk of chronic diseases such as diabetes, arthritis and other health conditions. Clare
Clare is the founder of Medowie Pilates Fitness & Massage and has over 14 years experience as a Pilates instructor, massage therapist, fitness instructor and personal trainer. She has a Diploma in Health Science (Massage Therapy), Certificate 3 in Fitness and Certificate 4 in Personal Training. Pilates
Pilates is a series of strengthening, conditioning and stretching exercises based on Joseph Pilates’ principles. It is suited to men and women of all ages. The exercises can be modified to suit different physical problems. It is also very successfully used for training athletes. The regular practice of Pilates:
- improves postural awareness
- enhances flexibility and balance
- increases coordination and strength
- increases muscle definition
- helps with injury prevention and recovery
Clare offers both mat and equipment classes for beginner and intermediate levels. Equipment includes a reformer trapeze and wunda chair. Props are used to enhance the exercises. These include weights, dumbbells, resistance bands and foam rollers. Pilates Mat is conducted ;

Fitness
Clare offers exercise classes and personal training. Her fitness studio is also available for individuals to use unsupervised at certain times by prior appointment. The fitness studio has a range of equipment, including:
- cardio equipment, including a treadmill, cross-trainer / elliptical, exercise bike and rower
- weights, including kettle-bells, dumbbells and bar weights
- fit balls and chi balls
- medicine balls
- boxing stand and gloves
- steps and ladders
- wobble board and Bosu
- resistance bands

Beat it
Clare runs a Beat It program . This suitable for all adults, including those with or at risk of chronic diseases. Beat it classes are conducted ;
