Introducing Bianca, our newest team member here at Fox Physio!

Bianca began her career in healthcare as a Myotherapist with years of experience in private
practice before completing her Masters in Physiotherapy.

Bianca has a great appreciation for the complexities of the human body and believes everyone
should have individualised care to suit their goals. She loves to provide her patients with appropriate
musculoskeletal management to overcome their injuries and get them back on track with what they
love.

Bianca aspires to become a leader in healthcare by providing honest evidence-based advice with a
strong interest in strength rehabilitation. She particularly enjoys treating the
neck, back and lower limb injuries.

Outside of work, Bianca loves powerlifting, strength training, travelling, being a foodie, dance and
spending time with her fur baby and friends!

She will be working from Fox Physio on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

If you have stepped foot inside .physio you’ll probably be aware that one of our favourite tools to relieve muscular pain and improve range of motion and function is TRIGGER POINT DRY NEEDLING.

What does this method do? đŸ€”
By inserting the needle into a trigger point, we illicit a muscle twitch response, which works on a chemical and a physiological level to return the muscle to its resting length.

ACTION OVER INTENTION

It’s not about how many days you intended to do your rehab, it’s about how many days you did do it.

Without action, you can not expect to see changes and reap the rewards of doing the work.

Make your intentions easier to achieve and eliminate any barriers that you know will get in your way.

If you’re too tired at night, do your rehab first thing in the morning or as soon as you get home from work.
Put your foam roller and/or rehab equipment in an accessible spot.
Have a drink bottle next to you at work.

Do the things that will make it easier for you to action your intentions.

Do your daily habits add to or subtract from your training and recovery goals? Are you taking action to get closer to your goals, or are you sitting back and expecting them to just happen?
You can set a vision but unless you are taking actions in alignment with your goals, you are leaving it to chance.

Do you want to move better and recover better? Do you want to have less time off training due to injury or inadequate recovery?
Then do all the things you know will get you closer to that goal. Avoid the things that will take you further from it.
Don’t leave your outcomes to chance.

Injury prevention doesn’t have to be complicated.

Focus on these things and you’ll be moving and feeling better than most:
-move your body often (daily walking, mobility)
-be consistent with your training program
-lift with proper technique!
-get adequate recovery (sleep, hydration, nutrition)
-control your environment (stress)

Time is a finite resource. How you spend it will show what you prioritise and what you value.

Do you want to move better, get the most out of your training sessions and prevent time away from training due to injuries? If this resonates with you, it’s probably time you started to prioritise the things that will allow you to do this.

Do your prehab, stay ontop of your recovery and your treatments. You can make excuses to others but your body knows what you have and have not done.
