It certainly wasn’t the 2nd birthday party I would have loved for my boy. Being that we just moved to the opposite side of the world, we were completely unprepared and not organized enough or ready to throw a party in anyway. I guess you could say we (sort of) pulled it off. But all that matters is that in Benny’s eyes, it was magic. He had himself a day as Buzz Lightyear. He ran around, ate way too much rainbow chocolate cake, and passed out in full costume by 6pm. So, I call that a win in my book.

Two infinity and beyond🚀

Happiest Birthday to my Lizzy. They say you will never be too old to need your mom, and this move to the other side of the world really proved that. Missing you more than ever and counting down the days until you are here with us. Near or far, juntas para toda la vida. We love you ❤️❤️❤️

You may be 2 today, but as you like to remind me every day, you still are and forever will be my baby. Your cuddles and sweet voice melt my heart. Your big dimply smile and laugh make me happy instantly. Although your energy has me praying for you to slow down most of the day, I also find myself praying for time to slow down so that I can play superhero’s with you forever. My Bennyman. My very own superhero. My happy boy. You are a beam of light and I am so beyond blessed to call you mine.

Happy 2nd Birthday to my boo boo. I love you to infinity and beyond🚀🌕❤️

In between all the mom life, traveling, moving, life stuff, it has been a while since we talked Speech Pathology! So I figured it was time for a career update.

Many of you started following this account when it started in early 2021 as Speech4parents. It was an account all about my Speech Therapy private practice. The purpose of the account was to create a community where parents could come to learn and ask questions about anything Speech related. Speech4parents grew very quickly, amounting to a full time schedule of parent consultations and individual speech therapy sessions for myself, 3 part time SLPs, and a few per diem SLPs. During this time, Speech4parents was also hired to provide supervision and AAC consultations at a private school, which in the end, turned out to be by far my favorite part of every week. My love for supervising and educating professionals in my field grew to become much more of a passion than continuing to grow my practice.

And so, as I do, I chose to follow my passions and see where it took me. And that is exactly where my next step in my career is leading me- a department supervisor team leader in Australia!

I am so excited to continue my journey as a Speech Pathologist in a new country, a career that I love and has been a passion of mine for so many years. They say that when you do what you love, you never work a day in your life. I am blessed to have a career that is equally a passion of mine, and not just work. And I am excited to continuously share Speech Therapy with all of you through this platform.

Many have said that I make Speech Therapy relatable, less like a burden or something to be embarrassed or ashamed of, and much more common and “normal”. And honestly those have been the very best compliments. My goal has always been to foster a community, to make Speech Therapy relatable to others. I am happiest when I am helping others come together and feel connected. And if I can do that by sharing my passions, then that is a life well lived 🙏🏼✌🏻

Ok for real, a freshie new stroller is a game changer.

I feel like my kids literally lived in our since 2019 and it was so damn good to us. We are always on the go, my daily walks are what get me through the day. But after 3+ years, I needed to change things up.

So here we are with our new stroller. We took it for a long test drive yesterday. I won’t lie, it takes a bit of effort to maneuver as a double stroller, but with 60+ lbs of toddler, any stroller takes a bit of muscle to push 💪🏼

The pros are that it rides smooth, it is easy to push, the seats are big and comfy. Both kids napped in it already. It has awesome storage space underneath, and its damn cute 💁🏽‍♀️

So long sweet summer 🥺☀️🙌🏻
