Do you meditate?
How I went from a non-meditator to a meditation enthusiast
If someone told you today that they love meditating and can’t get through a day without it — that’s me.
But trust me… I was NOT always like this.
Ten years ago, my mind was constantly busy.
Always preoccupied.
Always worrying.
Stress, anxiety, stiff shoulders, sore neck, racing thoughts.
When I first began my healing journey, my Spiritual Teacher advised us to meditate daily for 20–30 minutes.
Honestly?
I thought it was a waste of time.
Every time I closed my eyes, my mind would get louder:
Tomorrow’s work
Projects
What food to pack for lunch
Weekend plans
My ego came up with every excuse:
“I’m too busy.”
“I’ll do it on the weekend.”
“I need sleep more than meditation.”
“I can’t quiet my mind anyway.”
And if I forced myself to meditate… I’d fall asleep 15 minutes in 😅
Sitting on the bed with a meditation CD playing was basically an invitation to nap.
Meanwhile, my peers were sharing their deep meditation experiences, higher states of awareness, even out-of-body experiences — and I felt frustrated with myself.
So one day, I changed my approach.
I started meditating early in the morning, before work.
That’s when everything shifted.
I felt intense energy.
My crown chakra tingled and expanded.
My whole body entered a blissful, calm state.
Sometimes the energy was so deep, I couldn’t open my eyes for 45 minutes. I had to set an alarm just to come back into my body.
And that calm… stayed with me all day.
People around me noticed.
They said I looked relaxed. Grounded. Less reactive.
That’s when I realised — meditation wasn’t just changing me…
it was affecting others too.
I had a boss who was known for his anger. Everyone feared him.
One day, he asked if he could work from my room.
I was terrified 😬
When I asked why, he said:
“I feel calm when I’m here. I don’t get angry as easily.”
That moment changed everything for me.
I understood that my meditation practice was radiating outward.
From then on, meditation became non-negotiable for me.
Sometimes once a day.
Sometimes twice.
Even during lunch breaks (yes, really 😄)
I realised:
✨ Meditation was the key to unlocking my inner peace
✨ My healing abilities
✨ And my intuitive awareness
Now I meditate alone, and with my family too.
My son loves meditation — thankfully, he didn’t need an angry boss to get there 😂
✨ If meditation feels hard, frustrating, or “not for you” — I get it. I was there.
Sometimes all you need is gentle guidance, the right environment, and support.
