If your work is physically demanding and you have been self-isolating, there's a good chance you lost some 'work conditioning'. The muscles that were strong from repetitive movements could have lost some of their strength. The same tasks that were easy before the quarantine could now be challenging.

That's a big injury risk.

This is a fantastic infographic from YLMSportScience explaining where coaches might run into trouble with players returning to sport.

If we apply this concept to work fitness, we might like to think of the tasks you do at work as specific training and general training as additional conditioning you could do to increase your overall work capacity.

Spending months in isolation and then going straight back to work could quickly lead to a burnout if you haven't kept up your general conditioning.

Now is the time to be considering the demands of your job and making sure you body is ready for them!!
