Elvie brings over 18 years of administrative experience across corporate, hospitality, and facility management, including roles with BRF Foods and BRF GmbH in facility management administration, and time with Sheraton Mall of the Emirates and Mövenpick Hotel Doha, where she developed strong foundations in office operations, procurement support, travel and fleet coordination, and vendor management.

Elvie is the kind of professional who has already done the work in demanding, high-volume environments, and that experience translates directly to what we need as we scale. Elvie will be supporting our operations end-to-end as we continue to grow our national footprint.

Our team has been out in the field and the view doesn't get much better than this. 🌬️

Over the past couple of weeks, the Famaso team has been on the ground in Western Australia conducting wind turbine inspections, and it's a great moment to share where we're heading as a business.

For years, we've built our reputation on the cleaning & maintenance of large-scale assets, doing the hard work that keeps critical infrastructure performing at its best. But the industry is evolving, and so are we.

We're now integrating technology-driven inspection solutions alongside our existing services, giving clients a complete picture of their asset health, not just a clean one. Drone-assisted inspections. Detailed condition reporting. Proactive insights that help operators stay ahead of costly issues before they become problems.

🔧 Another key appointment at FAMASO.

We've appointed Shafeek Samsi as our Operations Manager for New South Wales & the Australian Capital Territory and he's already hit the ground running.

Shafeek joined us in January bringing over 14 years of experience across rope access and height safety, offshore inspection, drones, construction, and maintenance. It's a rare combination, deep technical expertise paired with the leadership and operational discipline to manage complex, high-risk scopes from start to finish.

Holding IRATA Level 3 certification and a Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety, he's worked across some of the most demanding environments in the industry, refinery maintenance with Shell in Singapore, offshore rig inspection for major international clients, and specialist height access projects across Sydney.

Beyond the technical credentials, Shafeek is a genuine people-first leader. He takes mentoring seriously, prioritises workforce wellbeing.

We're glad to have him leading the charge across NSW & ACT. Welcome to the team, Shafeek. 🤝

We've appointed Matthew James as our Operations Manager for Western Australia & South Australia — and this one has been three months in the making.

Matthew came on board to do something that's never straightforward — build a new operational presence from the ground up. Establishing WA & SA as part of our growing portfolio means new relationships, new contracts, and new infrastructure, and that's exactly what Matthew has been focused on since day one.

His background covers some of the most demanding environments in the industry — mining accommodation villages, energy infrastructure, government building programs, healthcare facilities, and commercial property portfolios. He knows how to operate across complex, geographically dispersed sites and he knows how to get the right outcomes for clients when the pressure is on.

What we can also say is that Matthew brings a strong background in drones — and there are some exciting projects in the pipeline that we'll be sharing more on in the coming weeks. Watch this space.

As we continue to grow our presence in WA & SA, Matthew's experience across multi-sector facility management gives us a strong foundation to deliver consistently — and to keep building on it.
