here are many reasons why our detox pathways are not optimal. Check out the image from the previous post.
To get those pathways functioning optimally, nourish the organs in charge of elimination and try the following:
🗝 Sweat (Exercise, saunas, saying “no” to toxins you put in and on your body!) - nourish the Skin
🗝 Stay hydrated (Aim for 2-3 liters of water a day) - nourish the Kidney function.
🗝Eat prebiotic- (apples, bananas, onions, garlic, asparagus) and probiotic-rich food (sauerkraut, kefir, kombucha) - nourish Digestion system.
🗝Use strategies to stimulate bile and eat enough fat, carbs, and protein - nourish the Liver.
🗝Dry brushing and massage - nourish the Lymphatic system.
🗝Deep breathing - nourish the Lungs
Investing time and energy into these daily habits will do wonders for your health and be long-lasting.
You may also benefit from identifying added burdens on your body, such as food sensitivities, parasites, or other infections.
