Chair – Consumer Advisory Body (Paid Role)
Local Guardians is seeking an independent Chairperson for our Consumer Advisory Body (CAB).
The CAB plays an important role in ensuring the voices of older Australians and their families are heard. It brings together consumers and community representatives to share experiences of aged care, provide feedback, and help guide improvements to the services Local Guardians delivers. The group provides advice to our leadership team and governing body on service quality, consumer engagement, and opportunities to improve the client experience.
About the role
As Chair, you will guide discussions, encourage open and respectful participation, and help ensure consumer perspectives are clearly captured and shared with Local Guardians’ leadership.
You will also prepare a written report for the Local Guardians Board summarising the key insights and recommendations raised by the Consumer Advisory Body.
This role suits someone who has administration/management experience chairing committees and minuting the outcomes and values consumer voice.
Commitment
- Two meetings per year
- Meetings run for up to 90 minutes
- Preparation and a short report to the Board following meetings
This is a paid role.
