What a way to kick off 2026! We’re proud to support the future of eye care, helping equip Australia and New Zealand’s newest ophthalmology trainees as they take their first steps in specialist training.

Vision Eye Institute was honoured to be the exclusive sponsor of RANZCO Eye Camp, an immersive program welcoming Australia and New Zealand’s newest ophthalmology trainees.

Held over two days, Eye Camp forms part of the broader induction framework delivered by the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists, equipping new registrars with practical skills, mentorship and valuable career insights as they begin their specialist training.

Supporting initiatives like this reflects our ongoing commitment to strengthening ophthalmic care across the region.

There's more to cataract surgery than the procedure itself – though we're highly skilled in that, too.

From the moment you walk into our purpose-designed day hospital, you'll be welcomed by a team that understands feeling nervous before surgery is completely normal, and who take the time to put you at ease.

Throughout your procedure, you'll be supported by an experienced surgeon, nursing and theatre team, so you can feel confident you're in good hands every step of the way.

Afterwards, you'll rest in a warm, comfortable recovery area with light refreshments, where our team will walk you through everything you need to know before heading home – so you leave feeling informed, prepared and supported beyond the day itself.

This is the experience you can expect at a Vision Hospital Group day surgery.

Considered care, delivered with calm and reassurance.

| At Vision Hospital Group, we are proud to be part of a broader healthcare ecosystem helping to shape the future of eye care, including Vision Eye Institute and not-for-profit research charity .

The Foundation was launched in 2021 by Vision Eye Institute to support eye health research that leads to meaningful improvements in diagnosis, treatment and the patient experience. Because of this connection, we're able to benefit directly from FVF-supported research, applying its insights to continually refine how we care for patients and improve outcomes across our network.

More than 280,000 Australians live with permanent low vision, yet many still fall through the gaps in funded support.

Fortunately, SeeWay. can provide some much-needed support. Developed by our colleagues at Guide Dogs NSW/ACT, SeeWay assists people living with permanent vision changes who may not qualify for traditional services. The program strengthens practical independence, builds confidence and fosters social connection, helping people navigate daily life with greater ease.

We’re proud to highlight the impact SeeWay is having across the community. Learn more about their work in this piece by Holly Kelly, Communications Specialist for SeeWay:https://loom.ly/hW72O7A
